Knowledge and judgment in regard to exposure factors, imaging technique and patient care with Radiation Protection. Knowledge of windows and word processing. Ability to communicate patients condition to Physicians, RN’s, patients, family and others. Basic knowledge on Radiology Equipment.
Perform Ct Scan, x ray imaging, portable radiography
Operates the portable x ray machine inside the OR / ICU / NICU / Wards.
Manage Pre-op and Post- op exams using portable x ray machine in recovery rooms.
Performs technological procedures within the facility and schedules, coordinates radiological exams done outside the facility.
Receives schedules of in patient orders and outpatient from radiology clerk.
Position and immobilizes patient to obtain optimum radiograph with minimum discomfort to patient.
Position equipment to obtain the view requested by physician for a variety of cases.
Calculate exposures factors, as necessary, using technique chart. Sets control panel and takes radiograph.
