Reviewing submitted shop drawings based on design IFC drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international standards.
Reviewing Material submittals based on project specifications.
Attending to Work Inspection Requests (WIR's) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action as per approved procedures.
Reporting any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accommodation with approved drawing and specifications and report to stake holder through Site Observation reports (SOR) & Non-Compliance Report (NCR).
Monitoring the material procurement and delivery to site and maintain own records for tracking the material to avoid any delay in the site progress for material non-availability.
Providing technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.

Initiate the site works by going through the drawings to complete Electrical services of low voltage and high voltage (Lighting, Power, BMS, Fire Alarm, Security systems.)
Allocation of work to supervisors and technicians and to ensure them to compliance with the established standards and procedures.
Testing and commissioning of VFD/ Control panels.
Identify the faulty works done by previous contractor and rectify the works as per standard method of installations.
Engineering to be done on cable sizes used on site as per actual load calculation.
Effective utilization of manpower by pre-planning the works and ordering the required materials.

MSHEIREB DOWNTOWN DOHA - Phase 3 involves the construction of a built-up area of approximately 310, 000m2 comprising 14 buildings that are up to 22 Floors in height as well as 4 basement levels offering 2, 200 parking spaces. Phase 3 will comprise 2 office buildings, 350 residential units spread across 11 buildings, 4 communal swimming pools in addition to a Mosque, Retail, and Hotel & Community facilities. Hotel is built on an area of 30, 500m2 under LEED standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Responsible for leading the Electrical discipline engineering shop drawings for High rise buildings (Residential, Commercial offices, Hotels) using British standards and local regulation codes.
•Responsible for preparation of cable sizing as per voltage drop calculations following British Standards.
•Electrical load estimation, design as per KHARAMAA regulations. Development of Low Voltage Single diagrams and control schematics in line with the project specifications.
•Cable sizing, bus duct, Earthing system according to the load analysis using AMTECH software.
•Coordinating with the Panel builder to provide the Single line diagram and operation requirement of Motorized Dampers relay panels for the functionality during the fire condition.
•Design and Preparation of Enlarged Shop Drawings of Plant Room and Risers by using the cable tray calculation and coordination of MEP services in NAVIS software.
•Design and preparation of Embedded Drawings, Typical installation details for Electrical services, building management systems (Data, Fire Alarm, Lighting Control, ELV, CCTV & Security) as per Contract Drawings & project specifications.
•Design of cable tray sizing according to the cable requirement and services coordination.
•Preparation of detailed shop drawings, technical specifications, and material submittals for consultant approval.
•Design according to KHARAMAA regulations (local Authorities & Regulations) for the approval of MEP Service drawings and service connection.
•Review of Documents, Calculations & Layouts of Electrical Distribution System covering all Electrical Works.
•Involved in preparation of lighting design according to architecture plans using Di-Lux software.
•Coordination with Architects, Structural Engineers and Mechanical Engineers and any other external design consultant.
•Responsible for the coordination of Shop Drawings, coordination with the main Contractors ‘OBYASHI & HBK’ and Consultants ‘CEG & GENSLER’
•Electrical building services engineering design from concept design to construction issue by using NAVIS, REVIT software for combined services coordination and slab openings.
•Preparation of bill of quantity for Electrical wiring accessories, cable trays, light fixtures, etc.
•Preparation of Distribution Board Schedules and MCCP according to the Shop drawings and IFC drawings.
•Preparation of Lighting Shop drawings & Schematics according to DALI & KNX systems.

•Procurement of electrical equipment, including preparation/review of data sheets, requisitions, carrying out technical bid evaluations, review of vendor documents.
•Preparation of Single Line Diagrams, Load List.
•Review of cable schedules, Cable Sizing and voltage drop calculations.
•Attending meetings with vendors and consultants.
•Estimation of cable support system like cable trench, cable trays and cabling accessories.
•A team player with exemplary interpersonal skills, adroit at coordinating with vendors, negotiating on costs and dealing with labors to ensure seamless operations
•Erection, Testing & Commissioning of High Voltage & Low Voltage switchgear.
•Testing and commissioning of LT motors, ESP rectifier transformers and all its accessories.
•Erection, testing and commissioning of Oil type transformers.
•Erection and commissioning of 33KV/11Kv sub-stations including Testing of Current transformers, Potential transformers, Power transformers etc.
•Ensuring that site operations are carried out smoothly following completion schedules and coordinating with planning department.
•Managing project activities involving working out various requirements with respect to utilities, machines, and manpower.
•Maintaining effective relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
•Collecting information to procure spare material in less time during emergency situations to ensure smooth plant operation.
•Responsible for cable sizing calculation by considering current carrying capacity and voltage drop as per Indian, international standards, and regulations.
•Major/minor maintenance activities, coordinating with maintenance personnel to avoid unnecessary tripping.
•Periodic testing and maintenance of DOL, Star-delta and VFD (Variable frequency drives) starters.
•Preparation of Power generation, individual load consumption log sheets of Power plant and sending the plant’s daily requirement to all applicable parties.
•Manages Commercial and engineering records, sub-contractors and regulatory documentation in accordance with engineering practices.
•Involved in the Commissioning of the Electrical Equipment’s that are connected in the Power plant such as H.V and L.V Panels in M.C.C Room, Synchronizing Panel, AVR Panel and Metering Panel Etc..., Testing of Transformer, Alternator, CT & PT connections, Protection system.
