• Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly gross margin reports by product and warehouse
• Analyze changes in product raw materials or manufacturing methods to determine effects on cost
• Variance analysis and review of cost allocation assumptions and rates
• Responsible for overall Physical Inventory and related audits
• Assist in the month-end close of General Ledger as it relates to COGS and Inventory accounting
• Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the monthly close, including the preparation of monthly journal entries
• Responsible for monitoring the movement of inventory, validation of the cost of goods sold, and monthly plant and terminal inventory reconciliation for accuracy and completeness
• Coordination with Operations and Plant Managers to facilitate the periodic update of the standard costs in the bill of materials
• Perform various product profitability and margin analysis including a monthly product costing variance

Preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis
Preparing financial analyses and reports. Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure. Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets. Maintaining and reconciling balance sheets and general ledger accounts. Assisting with annual audit preparations.

Maintaining Cost Accounting System Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program Reconciles finished goods inventories
To assist in running the daily activities of the department. To prepare with the Engineering & production Dept. all costs of materials consumed. To prepare with the purchasing Dept. all costs of materials purchased. To follow up with Storekeepers to ascertain quantities received and issued. To participate in periodical stocktaking. To evaluate the closing stocks of raw material finished good and WIP. TO keep financial stock cards and stock analysis book. To issue cost of materials consumed voucher and report it to the Accountant. To update on monthly basis the cost of spare parts and prepare the custom difference calculation.
