Project: 5* Hotel - Al Faisaliah Redevelopment Project
(Mandarin Oriental is the Hotel Operator)
Phase (1) comprises of: (1) - Guest rooms Block C & D Total 120 Keys, only three types: Superior 96 units, Deluxe 20 units & ADA 4 units. (2)- Atrium # 3. (3)- B.O.H services: Electrical substation, Server room & Old spaces refurbishment. (4)- Restaurant. NB: Phase (1) is executed.
Phase (2) comprises of: (1) - Guest rooms Block A & B: Total 99 Keys, 7 types of suites Royal, Presidential, Executive, Junior, superior, deluxe & ADA. (2)- Atriums #1 & 2. (3)- Main Lobby. (4)- Meeting Rooms. (5) Male & female toilets.
NB: Phase (2) is under construction.
Overall responsibilities:
- Managing the supervision site office engineering works “shop DWG. & Material submittals, Method of statements, etc.” and the coordination drawings & workshop as well, in order to ensure the correct & the smooth construction.
- Follow & monitor the progress of executed works VS. The approved Project time Schedule, in order to ensure that the execution works are in line with the approved Schedules.
- Conduct meetings with the Client Representatives & the Contractors, in order to discuss the progress and resolve any outstanding issues related to project. Then, to take the necessary actions accordingly.
- Responsible for issuing of (Letters, instructions, NCRs, MOM & IPC) in line with the Contract provisions, and responding on RFIs and any raised technical queries by the Contractors (RFIs).
- Prepare the taking over certificate and the closing out documents for the components of the project.
- Conduct design review on received design drawings, in order to check whether it is complying with the general Standards & Norms, and to check whether or not it is complying with the “Saudi General Commissions for Tourism & Antiquities requirements “ then, to provide the necessary corrective actions where required.
Project: Three Embassies in Africa
Project overview: Each embassy project comprise of the Residence of the ambassadors and the staff Housing buildings in addition to service buildings.
Overall responsibilities:
Managed the three Projects located in Africa remotely by directing, following up & monitoring the ongoing Project through the following:
-Communicate with MOFA PMs and conduct meetings on weekly bases to follow up with the outstanding issues that required approval such as VOs, Security requirements, changing in design etc. & to discuss the status of the ongoing Projects in order to take the necessary decisions accordingly.
-Coordinate with the Engineering department office located in KSA/Riyadh in which it is involved in checking all types of submittals received from the Contractor from Africa Projects, and conduct meetings with The Eng. Manager & the concerned engineer to solve any outstanding issues that may affect the execution process of ongoing Projects, and Liaison between the Engineering Office and the project Managers in Africa.
-Responsible for issuing the Supervision invoices as well as all the correspondences (letters, Notifications, emails etc.) to all the concerned parties (the Client, the Contractor, the designer & the Consultant).
-Monitor and evaluate the overall progress of Africa Projects in terms of time, execution, financial & quality in order to prepare report, then to submit it with recommended needed actions to the concerned party for attention, discussion & further decisions.
-Follow up on daily bases with Africa Project Managers to keep updated with each Project status and in order to keep the overall works under control.
Project: Hotel - Makah Twin Tower
A High End Hotel, comprised of two towers 20 stories building each, with external stone Cladding & structural glazing, with a total of 438 different types of furnished single, double suits & duplex royal suits, and two underground parking floors + GR. & Mezzanine floors, in addition external restaurant building with Three floors surrounded with water feature & fountains.
Overall responsibilities:
-Conduct the progress meetings with the Client & the Contractor, in order to discuss/resolve the outstanding issues related to project. Then, to take the necessary actions where required.
-Follow & monitor the progress of executed works VS. The approved Project time Schedule, in order to ensure that the execution works are in line with the approved Schedules.
-Managing the Technical office engineering works “shop DWG. & Material submittals, RFC, etc.” related to (Architectural, Structural & E/M trades) as well as the coordination between them, in order to ensure the smooth construction.
-Conduct a Value engineering process due to Client desire, in order to make a significant reduction on budget price, for example but not limited to: (VE. Related to elevations, hardware & finishing items materials, etc.).
-Managing a set of processes used at project to ensure the quality of products on the project (QA.) as well as the quality control on site (QC.). In addition to works related to Letters & Reports.
-Conduct design review on received design drawings, in order to check whether it is complying with the general Standards & Norms, as well as to check whether it is complying with the “Saudi General Commissions for Tourism & Antiquities requirements “ then, to provide the necessary corrective actions where required.
-Review & update BOQ. According to latest received drawings (add, modify & remove items from BOQ.), and conduct price analyses related to BOQ. Items, to ensure that the BOQ. Items unit rate are within the acceptable range.
Project: A High End Residential Compound.
A High End Residential Compound, Comprised of 520 residential units divided among Apartment Buildings, Duplexes & Villas Clusters. In addition to Club House, Fitness Centre, Employee Housing, Security Buildings, Gate Houses, and STP. WTP. Buildings & Landscaping & Water features works.
Overall responsibilities:
-Reviewing and checking submittals related to (Shop drawings, sub-Contractor’s/supplier qualification, Materials, systems, method of statements etc.) whether in accordance with contract documents. (DWG. Specs. BOQ, etc.), then take the necessary decisions.
-Conduct the Technical and Coordination meetings with the Main Contractor and sub-contractors to discuss / resolve any outstanding issues related to project submittals & site ongoing works, then taking necessary actions.
-Highlight and discuss with the Client the feasibility of any possible or any submitted variation / value engineering in terms of efficiency, cost & time impact. Then, decision making.
- Issuing of (instructions, NCRs, Letters, and Notifications) in line with the General &Particular Condition of the Contract provisions, and responding on RFIs and any raised technical queries by the Contractor or Client as well.
- Coordinating with other Designers (ID, lighting, landscaping) and with Design Office team (Architectural Structural & MEP), to ensure that the contract documents are properly implemented.
-Managing & Controlling the Arch. /Civil supervision team on site, and conduct regular site visits in order to check the Contractor performance in terms of quality & productivity related to ongoing works VS. Project Schedule, then preparing reports to top Management accordingly.
Project: A Luxurious Residential Tower - 1090 Rawche
A Luxurious Residential Building, Comprised of 25 stories building with external engineered stone cladding & structural frameless glazing & indoor Gymnasium, steam rooms & swimming pool, plus external landscaping & swimming pools, in addition to five underground parking & driver’s apartment floors.
Overall responsibilities:
- Reviewing and checking submittals related to (Shop drawings, Work Program, sub-Contractor/supplier prequalification, Materials, systems, method of statements etc.) whether in accordance with contract documents. (DWG. Specs. BOQ, etc.), then provide the necessary comments & decisions as well.

A High End Modern design Hotel Tower, comprised of 20 stories building with external Alum. Composite panelling and panoramic elevator covered by steel structure skeleton with glass spider system. From inside there are different types of Modern furnished single, double Gest rooms, Executive Suits & duplexes. In addition of that, a Court which houses some of the best casual dining outlets. A fitness centre, exhibition lounge, cinema & hair and beauty salon.
Overall responsibilities: Construction Supervision Management .

-Managing the Preparation of shop drawing & material submittals schedules, in order to be in line with approved Work Program, and developing procurement schedules to assure materials availability on time, for smooth execution of the project.
-Directing and monitoring overall activities of the technical team by handling an array of tasks associated with preparing structural and architectural shop drawings and coordination between architectural, ID, structural and electro-mechanical activities for the assigned project.
-Managing the preparation of bidding documents for subcontractors, then Accessing subcontractor’s proposals.
-Coordinating with suppliers to determine the status of purchase orders, material deliveries and accordingly executing payments to the suppliers and sub-contractors.
Inducted as Architect and subsequently merited promotion to the post of Project Technical Manager through excellent performance.

Overall Responsibilities:
•Spearheading crucial projects by coordinating laterally between diverse technical teams and vertically across management hierarchy to seamlessly implement - project rollouts within envisaged timeframes .
• Directing and monitoring overall activities of the technical department (2 Engineers & 5 Draftsmen) for handling an array of tasks associated with preparing of architecturaj and structural and shop drawings and coordinating between architectural, structural and electro-mechanical activites for the assigned project.
• Applying productivity profile, equations, rates, performance methods, to establish applicable basis for the estimation of project cost. Calculating total project cost based on the established items unit rate in the BOQ.
• Liaising with general contractors, sub contractors, design teams/consultants and observing a policy of open communication to reduce risk significantly.
-Preparation of shop drawings and site follow up in addition to reports related to the assigned tasks by Project Manager.
Develop conceptual designs, for the initial approval of the Client, then preparing the execution drawings for the assigned project.
