o Provide technological guidance to the organization and Propose hardware/software solutions to accomplish the company's business objectives
o Supervise information system and communications network.
o Develop and implement business application (RHS-IBS) to serve the organization in every aspect.
o Consult with administration, department managers, and manufacturing representatives to exchange information, present new approaches, and to discuss equipment/system changes.
o Participate in vendor contract negotiations for all new computer equipment and software purchased for the corporation.
o Oversee Internet and computer operations.
o Manages the day-to-day operations of the information technology department including directing staff, development team and networking. Identify user needs and resolve problems.
o Develop and Implementation of Liner & Agency Application in head office and off-shore offices located in various offices in the Middle East, Sub Continent & East Africa.
o Re-structure and automation of work process to reduce manpower and improve performance.
o Heading the development team with the involvement of application and database design and training o end users in various countries.
o Visit and audit offshore offices as and when required by the management.
o Organizational setup and work process implementation for new business accrued by the company.
o Analytical/Research to assess a situation, seeks multiple perspectives, gather more information, and identify key issues that need to be addressed with the solution.
o Reporting to CFO and CEO
o Full in charge of Import, Export and Cross Trade Documentation.
o Preparation of Statistics / Management Reports and Data Management.
o Attending to customer complaints and claims.
o Co-ordination with local Ports and Customs Authorities.
o Ports and Vessel Operations.
o Corresponding with Principal, Agencies and Customers on day-to-day issues.
o Co-ordinating for Group level System Developments.
o Preparation of Vessel Sailing Schedule
o Negotiating slot rates with the Carriers and booking slots with the carriers.
o Confirming Bookings with customers and releasing Containers to Shipper or arranging Transporter.
o Co-ordination with the Ports and Customs authorities for operational and documentation matters.
o Co-ordinate with the vessel operator/agent for ETA/ETD/loading of the containers.
o Preparation of Bills of Lading and Cargo/Freight Manifest and Freight Invoices.
o Correspondence with the customers and follow up for future bookings.
o Handling transhipment container and co-ordinate with Port of Origin and Final discharge Ports.
o Tracking of Containers (monitoring containers daily moves, reporting to principals and updating system.
Booking of Containers and slots with the Lines.
Negotiating rates with the Shipping Lines.
Port Operation and Customs documentation
Bills of Lading and Cargo Manifest.
