This is my full-time job and my professional career.
* Involved in testing and commissioning of GIS and
AIS substation projects of LV (380V), MV (13.8KV),
and HV up to 110KV systems.
* Testing of power cables up to 110KV with hi pot
equipment such as cable tester.
* Testing of Protection relays such as over current
earth fault, under voltage, under frequency,
synchro relays, transformer differential relays, high
impedance Bus Bar differential protection.
* Equipment testing such as CT, VT, Power
transformers, capacitor banks, MCB’s, auxiliary
relays such as tripping relays, supervision relays,
trip circuit super vision relays.
* Testing of circuit breakers up to 110KV and low
impedance and high impedance bus bar stability.
* Performing scheme check interlock operation of
protection schemes such as CB close block, bf
initiation.
* Performing End to end test and line stability for
differential protection.
* Familiar with test equipment’s such as Freja 300,
CPC 100, Megger up to 25KV, Odan primary and
secondary injection.
* Prepare documentation, write reports for site
activities.
* Modification of existing drawings using AUTO CAD
* Trouble shoot in protection panels, AC and DC
circuits.
* Work to various electrical standards such as ANSI,
IEC and IEEE.
* Co-ordinating with clients and sub-contractors.

In this field I gained electrical design experience which is

* Prepare schematics, SLD and PLD of HV sub
stations up to 380KV using ELECDES software
* Developing secondary design of protection panels
such as transformer protection, line protection, bus
section, bus coupler and capacitor protection and
auxiliary panels
* Prepare cable schedules, list of materials, general
arrangement and bill of materials
* Arrangement of various bus configurations such
as single bus, double bus, two main cum transfer,
one and half bus system
* Familiar with AUTO CAD software’s
* Communicate effectively with the clients,
colleagues and contractors involved in a project
* liaise with clients to identify their requirements
This was my first step in my Electrical career.

hi voltage test equipment
* Handling various testing equipment such as Freyja,
Severker & Omicron CPC 100
