Senior Shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer on continuous running lines working in 12 hours shifts (fixing machines, drives, PLC & SCADA systems) then in the renovation of galvanizing line from chemical galv. to furnace galv.
Have experience at:
• Pickling line , Cold Roll Mill line , Batch Annealing Furnace line , Galvanizing line (Chemical & Furnace) , Shearing Line & Ammonia & Nitrogen Stations
• Assisting in ERP & ISO 9001 systems
• Assembling X-ray gauges & Seam Welding M/C
• Handling electric, hydraulic, pneumatic and nitrogen systems
• Installing, commissioning, repairing and servicing machinery & drives
• Implementation of preventive, predictive maintenance and shutdown maintenance
For the first 4 months I worked as Control Engineer for the CRM (Cold Roll Mill) machine as a way to comprehend its function and the optical fiber networking between the x-ray gauges and the Toshiba vector control drives & Toshiba PLC & the iFIX SCADA
Then I was relocated to the Electrical Maintenance team that is responsible for the Pickling, CRM & BAF (Batch Annealing Furnace) lines. To make PM & OM of the lines following the ISO procedures. Pickling line- from India- used Siemens S400 PLC & Simatic SCADA, CRM -Japanese from SMS- used Toshiba PLC & the iFIX SCADA, BAF -Austrian from Ebner- used Rockwell PLC & SCADA for the line and the ammonia station.
After 2 years from working they decided to renovate their old galvanizing line in the other plant so they relocated me to the projects department to study the renovation of the chemical galvanizing to become furnace galvanizing beside the health and environmental conditions of the factory to give recommendations to the HSE department.
I stayed about 6 months in this department then one of the local competitors bought the whole factory and cancelled my team and brought his own. So I went back to the Electrical Maintenance team but this time in the chemical galvanizing plant which contains galvanizing line-American with zinc pot from AJAX- used Automax PLC and Reliance Electric FlexPack drives, TTL (tension leveler) machine used S300 PLC, Siemens DRIVES & WinCC Flexible HMI, coloring line used Reliance Electric FlexPack drives & cutting line-Japanese- used Mitsubishi PLC & drives.
After a period of 1 year the new owner contracted with Indian CMI FPE to renovate the chemical galvanizing to become furnace galvanizing and our team contributed in everything from A to Z beginning from fixing the cable trays and connecting the cables and terminations to testing the power cables and control signals of profibus and CTnet.
After the renovation and commissioning and till I left the Co. I got back to the galvanizing line Electrical Maintenance team where my job was to make PM & OM of the lines and designing the ISO procedures that fits to it beside assisting in designing the ERP of the spare parts & inventory. Furnace galvanizing- Indian from CMI FPE- used S300 PLC, Control Technique Unidrive DRIVES, WinCC SCADA & WinCC Flexible HMI, the old Zinc pot-American Ajax- 2 Mwatt, the old TTL, the old cutting line, Ammonia Cracking & PSA Nitrogen plants-Indian Gastek- used Rockwell PLC & SCADA.
Last task was assembling and commissioning a German Gamma-ray device with the line to measure in real-time the thickness of zinc coating.
Technical Office Engineer making Autocad drawings, assigning specimens, shop drawing & as-built for the consultants offices + preparing projects timetables.
Desktop Assistance maintaining our office PCs & Network & prepare our working sites technically to be used by our engineers & technicians.
Conducted Projects:
• "Musso" car assembling factory (6th of October) preparing project proposal, budget, timeline, submittals, MEP layouts autocad drawings and as-built drawings for spot welding and shower tester lines.
• "Vegas Oil" administration building. (New Maadi) preparing project proposal, budget, timeline, submittals, MEP layouts autocad drawings and as-built drawings for building electricity, HVAC, access control, networking and telephone systems.
