- Supervise the overall Terminal applications (TOS NAVIS, MAXIMO, HRMS, ORACLE EBS and others), act as an escalation point for Tier 2 and 3 support, and establish customer service level commitment to respond to issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the IT implementation project is delivered within the agreed timeline, budget and with the defined levels of quality and scope.
- Be a sparring partner to all functional departments and challenge requirements for IT set-up to ensure we use the most up-to-date solutions and end up with horses-for-courses (i.e. a solution fitting the purpose, not necessarily world-class).
- Provide a functional and Technical support for Navis SPARCS, Express, Web access.
- Provide a functional and Technical support for Oracle E-Business Financials Modules (GL, AR, AP, FA and CM).
Lead IT/Technology Integration activities including:
o Defining technical specifications.
o IT Equipment/Systems assembly/installation
o Business system implementation (TOS, GOS, ERP)
o Integration testing
o Super User Training
- Build and lead the IT implementation team (in-house or third party) who in close cooperation with DPWORLD Terminals’ HQ will work with selected consultant engineers and contractors for efficient planning and execution of the construction contracts including implementation of overall DPWORLD Terminals’ standards for IT systems.
- Develops employee performance and succession plans and delivers scheduled performance reviews to ensure each employee understands his/her responsibility and what it takes to be successful.
- Oversees and supports Technical Services operations inclusive addressing teething problems until they are solved.
- Manage, motivate, coach and instruct reporting team members to ensure that the project tasks, and subsequently business tasks are efficiently executed. provide vision and empowerment to others through leadership style.
- Ensure that all business procedures and processes are duly supported by the IT systems.
- Ensure a proper risk management system is in place and proactively managed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with all project stakeholders and the wider business community. This includes close liaison with the port authority, customs, customers and other statutory authorities to ensure that their requirements are met without detriment to the reliability of the operations once the terminal goes live.
- Reconciles conflicts within and between staff regarding resources, deadlines, and standards.
- Manage the Investment plans for IT function as input to the project management.
- Develops operating budgets to manage the financial component of the organization.
- Manage the direction & development of Application workforce structure, planning and Performance Appraisals.
- Ensure delivery of all Application solutions, projects and services to the assigned business units in a timely and cost effective manner based on defined standards and quality criteria and the agreed service level objectives.
- Develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans and allocation of available resources.
- Analyzes IT department systems /applications and oversees all design, programming, testing and implementation.
- Consult with IT management and review proposals to determine goals, time frames, funding, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of resources.
- Manage and negotiate non-enterprise vendor software contracts and license agreements, with IT Manager Approval.
- Ensure all IT Applications acquisition and utilization activities are in compliance with documented policies, procedures and standards.
Provide a functional and Technical support for Oracle E-Business Financials Modules (GL, AR, AP, FA and CM).
Plan and design the interfaces between business applications and Oracle financial modules.
Design and develop new Oracle forms using 6i, 9i and 10g.
