Monitoring of Securities and Money Settlement of all Clearing Members (Brokers) of Islamabad Stock Exchange
• Arrange and conduct training sessions of Company’s new products & services, being provided to the Broker Clearing Members and Non Broker Clearing Members by National Clearing Co of Pakistan (NCCPL). It includes, Margin Trading System (MTS), Exchange as well as Non Exchange Trades module such as Broker to Broker (BTB), Institutional Deliver System (IDS), Margin Trading System (MTS), Securities Lending & Borrowing (SLB), Margin Financing (MF), and Inter Exchange Trades & Unique Identification Number (UIN).
• Handling Clients queries, providing solution to their queries & ensuring enhancement in the present level of services provided to customers and communicate complaints, if any.
• To liaise with NCCPL Elements in matters related to account opening of Settling Banks, Investment Banks (Non Broker Clearing Members) & Broker Clearing Members.
• To ensure required fund availability in all Islamabad based Settling Banks through “Same day fund movement”.
• To finalize the Pay and Collect activities of Islamabad location according to the approve Designated Time Schedule
• Being Branch Manager, responsible for the administration and efficient daily operations of a full service branch office, including operations, Finance, customer service, security and safety in accordance with the Company's objectives.
• To carry out any other job assigned by the General Manager Operations, Head of Marketing & Customer Support Services and the Chief Executive Officer.
Customer service and call center
• Responsible for the administration and efficient daily operations of a full service of the branch office, including operations, customer service, Security and safety in accordance with the Company's objectives.
• Provides a superior level of customer relations and promotes the service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation; delegates day to day operations to the Operations Officer or other branch personnel.
• Weekly meetings with all staff members for the evaluation of their performance.
• Following set procedures within the office and keeping compliance with NCCPL regulations.
• Deal with client’s complaint while also ensuring that brokers are kept up to date with progress in accordance with prescribed procedures.
• Communicating with the Stock Brokers, Settling Banks, and Financial Institutions pertaining to their queries and chasing up outstanding information and documentation for successful and fast completion.
• To carry out any other job assigned by the General Manager Operations and the Chief Executive Officer.
• To perform all the activities related to NCCPL Islamabad Office.
• To coordinate with the concerned departments of the Company for timely resolution of day to day queries of the NCSS elements.
• To keep proper follow up for all pending matters.
• Conduct training sessions for the clients of ISE.
• To process / maintain/update account opening documents of the clients.
• To maintain and update signature record of the clients.
• Keep the supervisor informed on the status of work in progress, delays, problems etc.
• To carry out administrative activities of the office.
• To carry out any other job assigned by the Supervisor/HOD Ops.
Responsible to monitor the market for unusual price movements and trading behaviors, to make enquiries of Market Participants, analyze trading patterns and initiate regulatory enforcement action against any non-compliance of ISE regulations specifically pertaining to trading regulations. All suspected insider trading cases and cases of market manipulation falling outside ISE regulatory jurisdiction is referred SECP for further investigation and action.
Carry out real time surveillance of day-to-day stock exchange operations including the transactions of securities undertaken through the Central depository and National Clearing & Settlement System, and provide an early warning alert on the potential risks faced by market participants. Examine stock transactions showing irregular movements based on day-to-day surveillance of market movements and information obtained from various sources. Examine daily transactions and analyze stocks whose prices have surged or plunged during a relatively short period of time taking into account actual percentage variances and the impact it may create on stockholders.
Conduct preliminary investigation to trace the causation of unusual trading patterns.
• Responsible to ensure the compliance of the Regulatory Requirements of the exchange.
• Monitor the Exposure and Losses of the Members.
• Operate pre-trade margining system of the Exchange.
• Operate CDS pledge account.
• Reconcile the securities deposited as collateral with CDS reports.
• Initiate measures to further strengthening the Risk Management System of the Exchange
• Control Members Limits with respect to the Capital Adequacy.
• Responsible to manage the receipt and payments of Settlement System.
• Manage CDS for the movement of Securities
• Coordinate with the settling Banks.
• Reconciliation of the Bank Statements.
• Maintain Members Ledger Accounts
• Coordinate with NCCPL and CDC for settlement and various issues.
• Buying-in and selling-out of the securities.
• Follow the prescribed Rules and Regulations of the Exchange for Settlement.
