The Seclusion and Specification of Stem Cells from Menstrual Blood Menstrual blood collected from healthy female donors and by using a density gradient centrifugation mononuclear cells were positively isolated. Cells cultured and harvested in complete media to ensure their progression in growth. Cells cultured for a total of 14 days, which soon after were immune-‐stained in order to distinguish the occurrence of specific markers and differentiation conventions were initiated. The results obtained indicate that firstly, a stem cell population was present in the menstrual blood samples. Secondly, the isolated stem cells had the ability to differentiate into several distinctive lineages such as hepatic, respiratory endothelial, pancreatic, osteogenic, myoctic, cardiomycin and neurocytic.
