•Follows established pathways (STEMI, Stroke, Burn etc.) and company protocols or guidelines.
•Administers drugs in line with the Scope of Practice of EMT-B.
•Obtain IV access and provide IV therapy to specific patients.
•Advanced Airway management using Supraglottic Airway Devices.

•Demonstrates knowledge of general nursing principles

•Encourages verbalization of feelings; ensures that the patient’s emotional and psychosocial needs are met.
•Assists patients in their activities of daily living
•Assesses patient regularly; monitors vital signs and other health parameters.
•Assists patients in their personal hygiene
•Provides health teachings
•Administers daily medications
•Encourages ambulation
EMT-B

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Checks the ambulance vehicle, equipment and supplies every shift.
•Maintains the cleanliness of the ambulance after every run.
•Upholds readiness and preparedness of oneself in responding to emergency calls. Identifies and prioritizes most critical patient.
•Responds to all sorts of emergency situations - medical or trauma emergencies.
•Performs effective and efficient Physical assessment
•Identifies life or limb threatening conditions in a multiple injury patient.
•Addresses problems accordingly and makes transport decisions.
•Coordinates the patient to the receiving facility relaying vital information about the patient’s condition. Provides safe transport and continuous monitoring of the patient.
•Endorses patient to the receiving facility. Adheres to established protocols and guidelines. Acknowledges chain of command during disaster or mass casualty incident.

•Works with the team each one having a designated task (patient care and assessment, documentation and history, patient transport and resource person)
•Responds to all sorts of emergency situations - medical or trauma emergencies.

•Addresses problems accordingly and makes transport decisions.
•Coordinates the patient to the receiving facility relaying vital information about the patient’s condition.
