1: Receive contaminated medical devices and equipment and ensure proper decontamination using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment. Operate sterilization machines and follow standards to maintain sterility.
2: Conduct regular checks on sterilization equipment, report malfunctions promptly, and ensure proper functioning. Maintain records of equipment usage and performance.
3: Restock CSSD carts and storage areas to ensure an adequate supply of items for medical procedures.
4: Adhere to established standards and procedures to guarantee the sterility and quality of processed items. Conduct inspections, monitor sterilization indicators, and maintain accurate documentation.
5: Sort, inspect, assemble, and package decontaminated items appropriately, ensuring they are ready for use in medical procedures.
6: Strictly follow safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to infection control standards. Maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards.
7: Communicate effectively within the CSSD team and with other departments to coordinate workflows efficiently.
