Lead the waste management team and operations
•Manage and carry out waste and sustainability studies, trainings and audits
•Engineer a unique waste management software which aims to reduce waste generation in the hospitality sector

Key responsibilities within Restrata included:
•Producing formal technical reports, HSE/Safety Cases, COMAH reports, HSEIA's and other safety studies/project deliverables on time and to budget, with minimal supervision, including:
•Project management
•Identification of HSECES and development of Performance Standards/Verification Schemes;
•Gas & Smoke Dispersion/Vent/Flare Analysis;
•Fire Safety Assessment;
•Reliability, Availability, Maintainability Studies;
•Building Risk Assessment;
•Facilitate workshops related to the RPS service line (i.e. HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, LOPA);
•Risk Assessment processes and Risk Reduction strategies;
•Undertake most forms of Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis with knowledge of relevant Codes and Standards;
•Develop a suite of standard methodologies for all safety and risk analytical methods;
•Auditing, and/or Technical Reviews;
•Bowtie analysis, fault and event tree analysis and consequence and physical effects modelling.
•Assisting with the development of both technical and commercial proposal documents in response to RFQ’s.

During this period, Rania has developed a significant competence in the area of risk, safety and sustainability. She has personally managed several safety studies and sustainability reports as well as acted as a mentor for junior consultants within the risk and safety team. Her risk software skills extend to include proficient use of Phast/ Phast Risk and Shell Shepherd and Fred.
Rania has also gained experience in non-risk projects including Sustainability Reporting, Site auditing Regulatory Reviews and Environmental Impact Assessments. The main studies worked on are as follow:

Rania developed a broad experience in safety studies including Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) workshops, SIL and Bowtie Analysis.
In this position, Rania has been exposed to a wide range of risk and safety studies where she provided support to the team including performing consequence modelling and risk calculations for quantitative risk assessment studies. Moreover, Rania has helped in the development of HSEIA studies for most of the ADNOC group of companies.
