During my time at Toddler town I managed the day to day running of the nursery to ensure high standards of care, education, safety and well-being of the children, their families and staff. I created and implemented policies and procedures consistent with legislation, regulations and local requirement along with ensuring all risk assessments were up to date and recorded accurately. Each year I had the opportunity to create a yearly academic event calendar and monitor financial operations with an agreed upon budget.

As the nursery manager, oversee the daily operation of a thriving and diverse nursery of in excess of 180 students and more than 50 staff. This involved oversight of the daily performances and activities of the nursery with specific regard to all financial, personnel and infrastructure matters to ensure that the nursery was compliant with regulations and education standards. As manager, was closely involved with the recruitment process, including the preparation of contracts, to ensure that suitably qualified and experienced staff was employed. For the annual budget, working closely with the nursery’s holding company in the preparation phase. Critically, communicated regularly with parents about changes and developments to nursery services and facilities and any modifications in the nursery regulations and policies.

Responsible for the day-to-day management, staffing, organization and smooth running of the nursery. To understand and implement all local government policies and procedures in relation to schooling Children Under 5 and how this effects staff, building and resources. Overseeing & implementing Montessori teaching standards. Responsible for the administration and finance of all nursery activities and manage budgets as well as keep accurate records of staffing, payroll banking, petty cash. Raising of invoices and collection of fees, and meeting agreed targets as well as ordering and maintaining equipment and resources in the nursery. Participated in the selection of new staff for the nursery and the selection of subcontractors for ongoing maintenance and building works. Managing all the legislation and regulations relating to nursery for young children and the inspections process for the approval of nursery settings. Collection of fees, pursuing outstanding fees. Resolving any account queries. Overall responsibility for selection & ordering of school supplies and Uniform.
