• Supervises the Quality Control functions/activities of a project or its parts, including Quality Control inspection schedules and the collection of Quality Records.
• Supports the Construction Manager in dealing with the Client for all the Quality matters.
• Assesses the implementation of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans on the site.
• Allocates Quality Control personnel to the various areas of site activity.
• Supervises inspections, reports and the documentation issued by inspectors and collect and file the required Quality Records.
• Evaluates the qualifications of welders and Non Destructive Test-NDT technicians with regard to the activities assigned.
• Evaluates the qualifications of inspection personnel.
• Supports the construction roles in the management and control of subcontractors.
• Supports and participate to all the internal/external audits.
• Coordinates the relevant Tracking Systems for correct identification of materials.
• Supervises the correct equipment calibration management activities.
• Cooperates to issue the Welding Procedures (WP).
• Ensure all materials/equipment's received on site is inspected for compliance with specification & purchase order in accordance with MVAR approvals and are properly stored.
• Ensure that all testing is performed as required under the technical provisions of the contract specifications.
• Maintain records of QC activities and make these records available at any time to Client's/Royal Commission authorized representatives.
• Enforce "Hold-Points"
• Deal directly with field supervisors to correct identified deficiencies and notify the QC engineer prior to concealment of corrected work.
• Ensure the preparation and implementation of the Inspection Testing Plan (ITP).
• Follow-up and ensure closure of issued NCRs.
• Take corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence of non-conformances.
• Meetings with Client and Sub contractors to Solve Quality Issues
• Interfacing with other Company Departments

Responsibilities
• Responsible for all works including Review and Submittals of Mechanical (storm drainage system, sanitary waste water collection system, potable water, irrigation system, HVAC)shop drawings and materials.
• Responsible for 3 phase control programmed (Preparatory, Initial and follow up) as per specification.
• Issuing of NCR to contractor for any Non Conformance activity.
• Issuing SSR (Site Surveillance Report)
• To manage and Monitor site activities such as excavation of trenches, laying of pipes, gate valve installation, complete installation of underground and above ground utilities as per project specification.
• Witnessing Inspections as per ITP.
• Witnessing Inspection in Precast Factory.
• Witnessing Installation of HVAC system.
• Witnessing Installation of Sanitary sewer line inside the Building
• Conduct Gravity Test for sanitary sewer line.
• Witnessing Installation of all Plumbing material (Fixtures, Accessories, appliances and etc)
• Witnessing Installation of Potable Water Line.
• Witnessing Installation of spools, jointing of pipes, elbows, reducers etc.
• To conduct initial and final piping, cleaning and hydro test of line.
• Witnessing Installation of Thermal Insulation for the Hot water pipes.
• Witness installation of PIPE SLEEVE which passes through Concrete (Raft Foundation, walls, Roof).
• Witnessing Installation of Fire Extinguisher as per Royal Commission requirement
• To follow up of materials availability.
• To coordinate with other departments making clearance with each other before starting any activity.
• To coordinate with management to expedite the work and follow up with them the schedules.
• To visit Store periodically to verify the material stored comply with project specification and standards.
• Commissioning of full system and handover to Client.
• Supervising technical team in carrying out inspections and tests.
• Conduct Weekly Progress Meeting with contractor.
• Attends Consultant’s Technical Meeting with our PM, PE, Co-staff and Subcontractors.
• Contemplating the application of health and safety, and environmental standards.
• Evaluate, implement and improve quality processes.
• Verify all mechanical Equipment is calibrated.
• Assists construction personnel with general technical details.
• Reviewing Method of Statement as per project specification and international standards.
• Maintain relationship and liaise with clients to follow up on quality issues.
• Confirms the installation of all work within discipline is in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards.
• Solving Technical Issues with Client.

Responsible for the entire piping erection inspection at site and in the fabrication shop, verification of materials, material receiving inspection prior to release for fabrication, review contractors ITP’s, procedures, welding surveillance at fabrication shop and site, co-ordination with third party inspectors, attend meeting with client and contractors to discuss and resolve QC issues.
Piping line inspection to verify the installation as per isometric supports inspection, review hydro test packages to verify the completion of NDT requirements.
witness hydro and pneumatic testing, check gauge calibration and manifold test documentation.
Monitor and witnesses stage wise inspection of piping fabrication, erection work with respect to approved isometric, piping and instrument diagram, as per approved ITP and approved procedures. Visual inspection of welds, monitor welding, welder’s status log book and welder’s performance records. Preparation of Quality documents for Hydro test packages. Co-ordination with field engineering department to various technical issues and queries. Identify and inspection the material as per the isometric drawing during the fabrication. Monitor properly storage of materials, equipment preservation inspection, documented with test certificates. Check the fit-up, bevel edge, root gap, root face, dimensional tolerance etc, able to follow the guidelines of painting Inspection as per the specification of SSPC. Inspection of shop fabrication of piping spools and supports and preparing Punch List (A, B & C) attend punch list meeting with client and sub contractor.
