Provide individual, family and group therapy to clients entering Intensive Outpatient Treatment or Partial Hospitalization Program. My primary modality focuses on a Smart Recovery model approach to addiction. Offering Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and EMDR methods to my clients as well.
Provide group therapy to clients in the Partial Hospitalization Program in the areas of relapse prevention, codependency, the disease of addiction, family dynamics and emotional regulation.
Support families in obtaining divorce and civil settlements. In this capacity I work as a facilitator for family and individuals who are often in crisis and in need of an intermediary that can guide them quickly and amicably towards a resolution of their conflicts.
Conduct Family, Individual, Substance Abuse Counseling and Group Therapy for residential placed children in SIPP program. In this capacity I also developing and monitoring the execution of each residence individualized treatment plans. All of the residences at this facility have been identified as severely mentally ill and in need of this level of care before they can be safely integrated back into the community.
Coordinate and facilitate services for children with mental health diagnoses and their families while advocating for them in the community.
Supervised of a staff of seven (9) Dependency Case Managers assigned to the Western area of Palm Beach County. Review performance indicators. Post and hire vacancies within my specific unit at the Belle Glade service center. Provide guidance and monitor and review each case manager’s individual caseload, while ensuring statewide compliance is met on all active cases within the unit. Act as a point of contact for client complaints and questions pertaining to the process required during the dependency process.
As a placement specialist I assisted in the Community Base Care Agency (CBC’s) efforts to secure the most appropriate placements for the counties most vulnerable children. Provide on-going support to children entering care by monitoring their placements. Coordinating staff in the facilitation of conflict resolutions of problems with current placements. I worked on cooperation with all of the providers under the CBC’s umbrella and facilitated assistance whenever possible.
Actively recruit, monitor and train perspective, as well as, current foster parents working with this agency. My duties included monitoring licensed foster parents, providing daily and ongoing reports to our Program Director and lead agency coordinators. In addition I worked in conjunction with various agencies. I was
charged with organizing events for staff and foster parents. Matching licensed foster parents with at risk children for the purpose of finding the most appropriate placement for these children.

Supervision of a staff of seven (7) Child Protective investigators assigned to the Central area of Palm Beach County. Review performance indicators. Post and hire vacancies within my specific unit at the Lake Worth service center. Provide guidance and monitor the Investigators in meeting the established standards of the Department of Children and Families. Complete evaluations on staff performance, and provide appropriate direction to persons within my Unit. Act as a point of contact for client complaints and questions pertaining to the process required during a child abuse investigation.
As a trainer I interviewed prospective employees pertaining to the job of a Children Protective Investigator, screened applicants, implemented training guides and provided materials to new hires for the Department. Once a candidate was selected I would be tasked with training and monitor their progress. I would also assist with assigning them to the appropriate units with the county.

I received my Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. During my course work I received education with regards to comparison and contrasts in the major theoretical models in Systemic Family Therapy which seek to explain both normal and abnormal family functioning. During mu course work I was able to use the different theoretical understandings to develop intervention skills useful in the diagnosis and treatment of families. My cohorts and I examined several leading contemporary theories of marriage counseling, with a concurrent emphasis on the techniques used within each of those theories. We developed the skills necessary to begin developing a personal model of marriage counseling which they will use in their initial clinical work.
I received a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling. During my course work among other things I reviewed the psychometric concepts related to test construction and validation. Will also include an overview of the various categories of psychological tests and the better-validated tests within each category. I was taught how to administer, interpret and use some of the more useful tests available to me as a master’s-level counselors. I was exposed to the current models of treatment planning for the DSM-IV (TR) and soon to be released DSM-V disorders most commonly encountered by Master’s level counselors. We studied and practiced group dynamics, group counseling and group psychotherapy with attention to theoretical and practical issues. Which Included both an experiential component and an external-to class project.
I received a Masters of Arts which focused on Family Therapy and Conflict Resolution.
I received my Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from FAU.
I received my Bacholors of Arts in Criminal Justice while at FAU.
