➢ Preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for all civil, structural & arch based on drawings, specifications,
and client-provided documents according to the CSI Master format using POMI.
➢ Analyzing received drawings, specification and other relevant documents for estimation.
➢ Preparation of Cost estimation sheet and analyzing data, including material costs, labor costs, and equipment
costs, to determine accurate project estimates.
➢ Responsible for quantity surveying duties (take off) with the measurement standards in DWG and PDF
formats and develop a quantity tracking sheet based on Project BOQ’s.
➢ Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project scope.
➢ Verify and cross-check quantities between the BOQ and tender drawings.
➢ Create query sheets to address missing items and errors.
➢ Sending the RFI and clarification to get necessary information.
➢ Analyzing and negotiating contracts with suppliers and contractors.
➢ Attendance of design and commercial meetings.
I worked At “Technical Faculty Project, Jaffna and Residential Floors Condo Project, Colombo.
as a Quantity Surveyor.
My Responsibilities were;
- Checking the entire Tender document which is received from the Client.
- Taking off Quantities from the Drawings (IFT) and Pricing in Bill of Quantities (Civil & MEP).
- Checking the Quantities between the BOQ and Tender Drawings.
- Preparing the Query sheet for missing items and errors.
- Sending the RFI and Clarification to Client and Follow Up for Necessary Information..
- Analyzing Received Drawings, Specification and Other Relevant Documents for Estimation.
- Preparation of Rate Breakdown and Coordinate with the senior estimator for Rate Analysis.
- Preparing the inquiries according to the specification and send to the Subcontractors or the Supplier for Quotations.

My Job Responsibilities were;
-Take-off quantities from the IFT, IFC and shop drawings.
-Preparing the monthly payment certificate with all supporting documents.
-Prepare Variations and Claims and Negotiating those with the Client.
-Preparation of interim payment Application.
-Identify the variation item and prepare the Notification.
-Preparation of BOQ for the subcontractor's packages.
-Preparing the Payment certificate for Supplier / Sub Contractor.
-Make Comparison between Original BOQ and Supplier & Subcontractor Price.
-Price negotiation with supplier or Subcontractor.
-Assisting for the preparation of the Progress Reports for Attending to Commercial Meetings.
-Technical Evaluation with Engineering Departments.
-Preparation of final Account.
-Preparation of monthly progressive report.
-Completing monthly cost reports for budget vs actual.
-Measure & Compare the progress from Earn Value Management.
