Managed the HR function and global mobility from a tactical and strategic perspective for Oman, Kuwait, Iran, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, South Sudan, Libya, Mauritania, Singapore, China, UK, France and Switzerland in line with QNB Group strategy. Included recruitment, employee relations, HR policy, risk and governance, Ops, talent management, compensation and benefits.
•Managed the HR work streams for the successful organic launches of the Lebanon and South Sudan branches with a combined head count of 58 Staff and capital of USD 100 million. Managed recruitment of all staff and launch was achieved in less than 3 months.
•Managed the HR work stream for the integration of Kesawan Bank Indonesia (USD200m transaction with headcount of 660) and BCD Bank Libya (USD230m transaction - headcount 820) including sourcing key leadership roles. Managed the HR due diligence and initial base lining of National Société Générale Bank Egypt (USD2.5bn transaction and headcount of 4, 000+) including sourcing key leadership roles. Worked closely with Booz and Co, McKinsey, PWC, KPMG and EY as change consultants.
•Managed the organizational design and restructure of international branches and group functions from a centralized to functional operating model. Worked with McKinsey as change consultant. Sourced new positions as a result of the restructure.
•Responsible for partnering with internal audit - passed the audit for international HR for 2011 with zero observations.
•Successfully hired four Country General Managers for emerging markets and Switzerland.
•Completed all target activities for fiscal year 2011 before end of Q3, including recruitment of over 400 staff across 14 countries.
•Reduced recruitment spend by 55% (circa UDS 1.8 million) by reducing dependence on agency recruitment and enabling direct sourcing.
