• Supervises the issuing of material from Store as per Material Requests raised through Maximo. Ensures that appropriate specifications are recorded and maintains accurate records of transaction on the inventory system. Reviews and/or initiates the Inventory Amendment Request (IAR) as necessary.
• Receives, allocates and stores materials adequately, according to the approved policies and procedures. Ensures that efficient filing system is maintained for related documents.
• Ensures cleanliness of the Stores and stocked items at all time. Undertakes remedial actions when necessary. Reviews and ensures, before receiving goods from Suppliers / Vendors, that all technical specifications, agreed terms and conditions are satisfactorily met.
• Prepares required documentation concerning return of unused material as necessary, ensuring posting on Maximo to provide current and accurate information on such transaction.
• Prepares and regroups, as per procedures, the necessary documents such as the inspection certificate, the Material Receiving Report, the delivery note and invoice upon receipt of goods. Forwards to Supply Main Office. Monitors material inspection, and testing from the laboratory for chemicals, to ensure that the all received material are as per specification.
• Supervises the administration of the Personal Custody Items Cards for utilization of hand tools, ensuring that set procedures are respected.
• Provides support to Audit activities of the annual physical inventory as required, to facilitate and expedite such activities. Performs other similar or related duties as and when assigned by head of Inventory management.
• Carries out periodic review of stock parameters such as re-order levels and lead times, to ensure that stock holding is kept at the optimal level. Performs technical evaluation of purchase bids/quotations for selected stock items to ensure that high quality materials are obtained. And provides technical advice, and reports to Inventory Management Section Head for review and approval.
