The Company has been into supplying various innovative chemical solutions and technical services to our clients of Oil & Gas industry in Qatar.
Being as a Laboratory Chemist, I have the responsibility to manage the QA/QC LABORATORY with below mentioned major duties involved :-
# Collect, prepare & analyse the laboratory samples with FT-IR Spectrometer and Spectrophotometer (HACH-meter).
# Conducting physical analysis of the samples, by applying various instruments such as Electronic pH-meter, Visco-meter and Hydro-meter etc.
# Prepares and standardizes reagents for Laboratory tests.
# To perform calibrations and standardization of analytical Laboratory instruments and analyses chemicals according to their specifications.
# Making reports for the routine and non-routine analytical experiments and report to the application & sales engineers.
# To produce final Certificates of Quality from either manual or computerized systems in accordance with the clients instructions and other standard guidelines.
# Issuing the Quality Certificates to the customers.
# Complete the safety observation cards and report to the district safety champion.
# Attend the monthly safety meeting.
# Analysis of Produced Water samples from various Oil & Gas Fields for the residuals of Production Chemicals such as Corrosion Inhibitors, Hydrate Inhibitors & Scale Inhibitors and also for the Total & Dissolved Iron contents.
My Achievements :-
# Accepted and adhered to the safety practices and maintained good house-keeping in the Laboratory.
# Performed complete Risk Assessment for working in the Laboratory.
# Applied good Lab quality practices and assured the data generated are of good quality and check data compliance with quality control requirements.
# Worked together and technically supported the 'Senior Separation Specialist' at one of the major Oil & Gas clients' on-shore Field.

Safety:-
# Responsible for implementing and maintaining the company's Health, Safety and Environmental policy as it pertains to the works area.
Operations:-
# Responsible for ensuring that customer deliveries and services are met.
# Responsible for managing the works area within the confines of the agreed budget.
# Responsible for agreeing targets for efficiency and meeting or improving upon them.
# Responsible for ensuring efficient use and planning of distribution resources.
# Responsible for efficient raw material utilization and blend planning.
# Responsible for ensuring a high standard of housekeeping and maintenance in the works area.
# Responsible for continually looking for ways to improve the operation cost effectively.
# Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective recording of stock movement.
# Responsible for specifying and agreeing requirements of new plant/equipment and effectively maintaining existing plant.
Personnel:-
# Responsible for the management of yard and operators.
# Identifying and implementing training requirements.
# Conducting regular tool box talks.
# Efficient and effective use of yard personnel.
Waste Management:-
# Responsible for implementing the waste management plan that aims to reduce the hazardous waste produced.
Quality:-
# To take an active part in the maintenance and improvement of the company Quality Management System.
# To ensure that the yard operates in accordance with the requirements of the documented Quality Management System.
Other:-
# Additional duties as specified by the Area Manager.
I had worked as a trainee bio-chemist at the laboratory department of bio-chemistry in National Hospital which is a reputed Multi-Super Specialty Hospital.
# Undergone a training program under the department of bio-chemistry in the National Hospitals.
# Performed analysis of biological samples which send to the biochemistry Laboratory by applying auto-analyzers and other equipment under the supervision of head biochemist.
