department
• Microbiology department: I was rotated in different benches such as; media
preparation, pouring, streaking, culturing, pus, stool and sputum bench. In
this bench I practiced to study bacteria or learn about sensitivity or staining
methods. Second is blood and urine culturing bench. In this bench I learned
about oxidase, catalase tests as well as urease testing. Third is urine and stool
analysis bench. In this I learned physical or microscopical examination and
etc.
• Hematology department: I studied and performed CBC, blood slides
preparation and microscopic examination in which I learned about white
bloods cells like eosinophil’s, neutrophils, malarial parasites and etc.
• Biochemistry department: I rotated in 2 different benches or rooms such as;
routine biochemical tests and special biochemical tests like thyroids,
hormones, HbA1c and LFTs, RFTs and etc.
