Coordinate the implementation for a Road Transport and Journey management system for all dedicated traffic, which cover:
• Daily Monitor movement of Personnel, Goods, Material and equipment.
• Monitor the vehicle maintenance program.
• Journey Management Supervision.
• Audit the traffic management system to monitor compliance to project requirement.
• Monitor the operation of IVMS system for all vehicles.
• Prepare monthly performance report.
• Driver competency including training and assessment.
• Reviews all IVMS weekly data reporting and identifies areas of non-compliance and areas from improvement.
Coordinate the implementation of a road transport and journey management system for all dedicated traffic for the project in and outside the fence, which covers:
• Inspect all light and heavy vehicles roadworthiness, loads, driver licences, journey plans on arrival and or departure from site.
• Ensure Project road safety requirements are communicated to all relevant personnel and verify compliance by all appropriate means (meetings (IVMS/Road Safety/Drivers Forum, inspections, monitoring, and audits).
• Driver competency including training and assessment
• Vehicle / equipment standards and fitness for purpose and service.
• Journey management for the transport on public roads of personnel, bulks (aggregates, sand, pipes), containers, equipment and materials.
• Lead the Driver/Vehicle Assessment and Journey Management Teams in the implementation of a road safety programme.
• Reviews all IVMS weekly data reporting and identifies areas of non-compliance and areas from improvement.
• Monitor the IVMS reports and dually report serious violations to the Project HSSE Manager.
• Monitor, facilitate and verify that the contractors establish and maintain a Driver Management System, that ensures all requirements in selection, training and management of drivers are complied with, through the assessment and licensing of drivers.
• Monitor, facilitate and verify that the contractors have a vehicle management system that ensures all vehicles used for Project activities are inspected and maintained in safe working order.
• Coordinate the implementation a journey management system for all dedicated traffic for the project.
• Protectively seek new opportunities for the vehicle management workforce to improve knowledge and performance, adoption of Life Saving Rules and Site Safety Rules.
• Assist with post-accident assessments.
• HSSE Advisor in the site (Monitoring and Supervision)
