● Mini project: Intelligent train engine for level cross gates In this project our aim is to provide communication between Train engine and level cross gates so as to avoid accidents and also making automated Gating system. This is done by using censors, where level cross gates gets closed and opens automatically upon train arrival and departure from level cross gates respectively. ● Main project: Energy efficient transmission of DWT image over OFDM fading channel In many applications retransmission of lost packets are not permitted. In an OFDM system, due to channel fading, only a subset of carriers is usable for successful data transmission. In this project we present an energy saving approach to transmission of discrete wavelet transformation based compressed image frames over the OFDM channels. In order to reduce the system power consumption, the mapped descriptions onto the bad sub channels are dropped at the transmitter. Via MATLAB simulations, we demonstrate the usefulness of our proposed scheme in terms of system energy saving without compromising the received quality in terms of peak signal-noise ratio. Achievements and Extra credits: ● Won 1st Prize in Paper Presentation in AVN institute of Engineering and technology. ● Won Best Team Leader award in the AGAMYA, a National Level event. ● Participated in the short film contest held in "JNTU" hyderabad
