The current project, I am working alongside a postdoctoral researcher studying 4D two-way shape memory materials (specifically polymers, elastomers and hydrogels) that have the capability to switch shape when projected to a stimuli (temperature, pressure, pH, UV light) with the use of liquid crystals. The focus of the project involves studying these materials where behavior is correspondent to the surrounding environments. \[Supervisor: Prof. Nazek El-Atab\] \[06/2021 - 06/2022\]

Throughout this COVID time period, I tutored 7 students in different age groups, ranging from grade 3 to grade 12 IB students \[Mathematics SL & Studies, English (SL) and Physics (HL)\]. This included preparing and planning for each session and finding the most effective way to convey the objectives to the students.

In this project, I worked with other students in the development of platinum (Pt) nanoparticles on graphene based materials by photocatalytic deposition and their use as a catalyst in a fuel cell. \[Supervisor: Prof. Selmiye Alkan Gursel\]

In this project, I worked alongside a PhD student on a conformal, lightweight and non-invasive tagging system used for testing the marine environments. This required fabricating sensors in the cleanroom laboratory. \[Supervisor: Prof. Muhammad M. Hussain\]

In this project, I worked alongside a PhD student on production of films by Layer-by-Layer assembly methods; analyzed data on SEM, DSC & TG-DTA. \[Supervisor: Prof. Fevzi Cakmak Cebeci\]

In this period, I assisted in the discussions for freshmen undergraduate courses in natural sciences. Conducted weekly review sessions for the exams. \[Supervisor: Aslihan Unsal\]

In this project, I explored and was trained on transforming silicon electrons into flexible and transparent ones that were used in devices to retain their properties, thermal budget and cost, alongside a PhD student. \[Supervisor: Prof. Muhammad M.
