Provide individual psychotherapy to outpatient individuals seeking assistance with mental health issues, substance abuse, family/marital issues, and other adversities.
•Utilize various modalities (CBT, solution-focused, mindfulness, psychodynamic) to support clients in exploring and overcoming their problems.
•Took initiative to create and monitor daily program schedule for inpatient wards.
•Developed and conducted 6 support groups and group therapy curriculums for male and female inpatient wards.
•Perform psychological assessments and psychometric testing.
•Complete crisis intervention using active listening, validation and safety assessments.
•Implement suicide intervention and prevention strategies.
•Educate on and offer support, referrals and crisis intervention for rape/sexual assault, domestic violence, drug/alcohol concerns, and general life stressors.

•Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress with respect to treatment goals, and modify treatment goals and modalities as needed.
•Exchanged clean needles in harm reduction effort for intravenous injection drug use.
•Perform risk assessments for suicidal, homicidal and self-injurious behavior.
•Train and supervise incoming interns in conducting assessments, diagnosing and using electronic health records.

Review records, conduct biopsychosocial and substance abuse & mental illness (SAMI) assessments, and confer with other professionals to evaluate the mental or physical condition of patients.
•Co-facilitate discharge planning group with forensic patients.
•Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses to plan or coordinate treatment.
•Educate patients about mental or physical illness, substance/alcohol abuse, medication, and available community resources.
•Identify patient strengths and environmental impediments to progress through interviews and review of patient records.
