was studied. The different methods of prestressing were studied. The different levels
at a metro station were shown. The different girders that were used were also shown.
At the Muttom depot, the various power generating stations were shown. The third
rail technology was also studied.
Response of Hyperbolic Cooling Tower Against Wind and Seismic Loads .
The finite element of a cooling tower was modelled using the Mechanical APDL. Then
the structure was subjected to gravity loads and wind loads. The response of the
structure is obtained in a colour coded manner in which the various stress concentration
regions can be found out and can be given suitable reinforcement sonas to withstand
the effects. In a similar manner, the structure was subjected to a standard EI-centro
earthquake in order to study the effect of earthquake on the structure. The mode of
deformation and the stress concentration was studied. The studies concluded that the
structure was safe against the various natural forces acting on it.
