Carry out routine mud sampling and simple weight and viscosity checks and add chemicals as advised by the mud engineer.
Maintain all mud pumping and processing area in a clean and tidy condition.
Assist in installation and movement of B.O.P. equipment.
Assisting derrick man in various drilling operations (working on shale shakers - cleaning screens, monitoring mud for overflow, record mud weight and skips changed out. Starting pumps for mud cleaner, desander, desilter, degasser vacuum in an agreement with mud engineer and supervisors)
Daily/weekly maintaining rig floor drilling equipment (rig tongs, iron-roughneck, spinner, slips, elevators, safety clamps, air hoists, draw works.
Clean up rig floor area (housekeeping).
