KJO Switchgear Transfer Function Project
Client : Al Khafji Joints Operations (KJO)

Brief Description of the Project:
This project is to transfer all power and control sources from the existing Switchgear Houses A1 and A2 to switchgear 7A and from switchgear 7 to switchgear 2A in order to provide a reliable power source to the Hout process and tank farm areas at Khafji tanks. The Project consists of the following: • Switchgear 2A: • Extension of Switchgear Building. • Replacement of LV and HV Switchgear and Control gear • Supply and Installation / Mitigation of new and existing transformers • Replacement of existing HVAC system • Extension of Fire Water System to existing transformers yard. • New Fire Fighting (FM200) and Fire & Gas Detection system • Switchgear 7A: • Installation of new transformers, LV & HV switchgears and Control • gear • New Fire and Gas Detection System • Extension of fire water System to existing transformers yard • Installation of cables • Supply and Installation of new power and control cables in cable trays, • duct banks or direct buried to replace all related existing cables in the Khafji Storage Area, Hout Process Area and Ratawi Storage Area • Demolition Works: • After completion of transfer functions to the new switchgears: Demolition of switchgears A1, A2, 6 and 7 • Demolition of the existing two transformers, and main switchgear at switchgear 2A.

Duties & Responsibilities :
Responsible for all the execution of Mechanical / Piping inspections as per applicable Codes & Standards for HVAC, FW Deluge System -Piping, FM-200, Emergency Eye Wash CPVC Line.
Activities includes but not limited to:
Document reviews of applicable procedures, WPS from sub-contractor, Test package preparation & review. Material receiving, pre-welding & weld joint fit up, In-process & post weld inspection. Verification of applicable NDE methods, selection of welds joints for NDE & identification of each line for PMI.
Witnessing of Bolt torquing, Pre-test punch listing, Flushing. Verification of test preparation & visual inspection @ Test pressure, Re-instatement & System final inspection.
Participation of Testing, Adjusting & Air Balancing (TAB) of HVAC Systems.
Weekly reporting to FQCM & Dept. Managers.

Brief Description of the Project:
EPC - One number new Water Treatment Facility (WTF-3) consisting of Skim Tanks, Induced Gas Flotation, Nutshell Filters, Oil Reclaiming System and Buffer Tanks (including Civil, Steel Structure, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation. One number new Onshore Water Injection Facility (WIF) consisting of Booster Pumps, Injection Pumps, Guard Filters (including Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation - One number Chemical treatment / Injection Plant - Tie-in and hook-up - New facilities to Existing Facilities / Control systems - New facilities to five numbers new onshore water disposal wells - Existing WTF-2 five numbers new water disposal wells - Commissioning of new facilities - As-Built Survey.

Duties & Responsibilities :
Verify the incoming materials that conform to the project requirement/specification.
Perform inspection for underground piping, pipe rack steel structure, & pipe joints welded to equipment prior to installation.
Review of piping hydro-test packages, line checking and punch listing.
Witnessed and inspect Hydrostatic testing per test package limits.
Monitor and analyze defects and other technical/quality related problems and recommends corrective and preventive measure. (e.g. painting and insulation problems, corrosion adhesion)
Monitor the correct implementation & control of incoming material traceability, storage & handling.
Installation of Static and Rotating Equipment- Reciprocating compressors, Surge vessel, Pressure Vessel, Aboveground and Underground Storage Tanks, Pump and Motor Skids and other related rotating and static equipment assembly, fabrication, installation, testing and inspection.
