Responsible for the company’s activities in the Middle East region and the setup. Management of geophysical and drilling projects throughout the Arabian Gulf (Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain). Activities include surface and downhole geophysical data interpretation and reporting, presentations, and participating in project meetings. Managing, preparing and ensuring quality control for geophysical data acquisition, supervising the processing unit, and drilling consultancy. Reporting to General Manager and Operations Director.
Seismic data acquisition and processing in relation to near surface applications. Seismological data processing, paleoseismological studies and seismic microzonation in Gujarat state of India. Installation of Strong Motion sensors, Broadband Sensors (micro seismic) and differential GPS in earthquake observatories throughout the Gujarat state.
Accountable for installation and commissioning for various geophysical equipments to government and private organizations throughout the country. Operational and scientific trainings to clients on a wide rage of geophysical instruments including seismographs, resistivity imaging system, ground penetrating radar, and differential GPS (certificates from clients are attached in appendix-A). Techno-commercial responsibilities viz. bid preparation, tech compliance, etc.
Installation and commissioning of different dam instruments viz. piezometers, earth pressure cells, inclinometer system, settlement devices, in Tehri Rockfill Dam, Tehri Uttrakhand, India. Data acquisition and processing for the instruments so far installed in dam. Reporting the processed data to dam design unit of Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Limited, Central Water Commission, and to CSMRS, New Delhi, India.
M.Tech in applied geophysics is a six semester post graduation full time course. The course includes basics of geology and covers all fields of geophysics. The course also includes three possessional trainings on different geophysical methods in government and private organizations. The last semester is a full time project/thesis semester.
