Responsibilities:
• Provide methodology for capture, collection, and analysis of health care data for TBI
• Design and manage databases
• Create data sets for analysis
• Apply expertise in statistical methods and quantitative data collection
• Perform data analysis on large data sets including using software such as SPSS and SAS
• Develop quality of care indicators and cost-improvement metrics
• Translate clinical data for recommendations for health care delivery improvement
• Apply knowledge of standards for storage of protected health care information
• Apply knowledge of clinical data warehouse systems
• Assist in the management and processing of electronic health records, nursing data, information and support the practice of nursing and the delivery of nursing care
• Participate in complex system development, project management, and user training
Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients with kidney conditions that require dialysis treatment. Reviews patient histories, administers medications, and performs dialysis treatments. Ensures dialysis machine and all products used during treatment are properly prepared and meet quality standards. Monitors the patient during dialysis, records observations in patient medical record, and reports any changes in condition to physician as needed.
Responsible for maintaining care standards in the emergency room
Assist with checking in patients, doing triage work for doctors and generating initial insurance paperwork
Work closely with doctors to keep patients and their family members updated on test results or treatment recommendations
Maintain contact with laboratory personnel to report any initial lab findings back to the ER doctors
Make arrangements for patients that are deemed to need care requiring them to be admitted to the hospital for one night or longer.
