To design, develop and grow the Logistics product in a profitable and sustainable manner in the Country, in accordance with instructions from Regional Logistics. Takes the responsibility for P&L within the respective country.
To execute the global product and network / warehouse management and procurement strategy (Road & Rail and Warehousing & Distribution respectively) at Country level.
To implement, execute, and ensure compliance to the global Logistics standards & guidelines at Country level.
Building logistics capabilities in the Country. Support M&A, and bring in the right quality of resources into the business to support growth and product demand
Responsible that profitable day to day execution and delivery of the Logistics strategy in the Country in line with the global product strategy and regional objective in order to tailored solutions on Country level;
Implement core products within the Logistics portfolio on Country level;
Assist Regional Logistics with network design and strategy for Road & Rail and W&D;
Develop, drive and monitor corrective actions in case of deviations of actual Logistics product performance against plan;
Drives financial results for the segment of Logistics and insures profitability for the Country.
Analyse and know the Country market in order to drive growth
Coordination with Regional W&D to build a coherent and comprehensive capability in W&D, building on existing country-based procurement functions & skills, and existing infrastructure (where necessary), including investment decisions;
On-going review of local network assets and infrastructure in coordination with Regional W&D to deliver optimal productivity and consistent quality of service to internal and external customers as well as ensure local market competitiveness.
Implementation of the procurement strategy and guidelines defined by Regional Logistics for Warehousing & Distribution
Track Country procurement performance and execution (in Warehousing & Distribution) against plan with respect to volumes and subcontractors and initiate and track corrective actions as required, as directed by Regional Logistics
Assist Region in the coordination of trucking network requirements and planning with the required, often country based procurement functions, including investment decisions and capacity and/or rate negotiations;
Management of internal pricing methodology and processes in accordance with corporate guideline;
On-going review of local network assets and infrastructure in coordination with Corporate R&R to deliver optimal productivity and consistent quality of service to internal and external customers

Directly report to Customers Supply Chain Director, and regularly report to DHL Supply Chain General Manager and MD on KPIs, contract performances and financial results
Managing all staff in given Contract, hiring and training of new employees, oversee and control their performance and staff selection
In charge of all working contracts within Customer, man power supply agencies, purchasing and equipment rental
Financial structure and feasibility of Contract, Budget balance and control of the given account, and reporting to the DHL Malaysian HQ
Accountable for all operations improvements such as warehouse utilization, transport optimization, stock movement control and savings, pallet management and increased efficiency
Accountable for all warehouse handling such as supplier handling, receiving, put away activities, storage, inventory accuracy, outbound activities (TO and home deliveries), transport planning, goods quality control, system monitoring and distribution/deliveries
Coordination of full circle of Warehouse Logistics, from the order point to customer service activities(after sale services)
Organizing and executing special promotional events such as Megatex and Eid sales promotions, supporting opening of new outlets
Accountable for coordination and issues facilitation at whole operations (two warehouses and six cross docks in Peninsula Malaysia and two warehouses and two cross docks in East Malaysia)
In charge of all internal and external audits such as 5S, equipment reliability, staff performance, safety procedures (HSE) and quality of work
Fully involved in planning, testing and implementation of Navision, single platform system for better demand planning and visibility of stock on hand
Fully in charge of overflow warehouse planning, MHE hiring, system set up, additional temporary staff hiring and process design during Hari Raya sales promotions
Fully responsible for AR and invoicing
