Appointed by the CEO to work primarily on a Luxury 5* Mixed-Used Development by prominent Dubai based developed, AW Rostamani. The project, located in an upscale locality in Dubai, comprises of 4 Towers - Hotel, Serviced Apartments, Residential Apartments & Offices. While working on the mixed used project, I have conducted the following tasks:
- Preparing space-planning sketches, designs proposals and graphic presentations to document the various stages of the project, from concept through to tender.
- Preparing 40 material & design boards for almost all front of house areas of the project.
- Designing various vital areas in the project, such as the Hotel Concierge, Rooftop Restaurant Interior & Public Toilet, Specialty Restaurant, the Corner, Executive & Royal Suites; the Residential Tower typical corridors & Cafe; the Serviced Apartment Salon and Spa Areas, as well as several other smaller areas in the project.
- Coordinating with various suppliers, selecting and documenting all the hard finishes for almost all public areas and guestrooms / suites in the 4 towers.
- Coordinating with various suppliers, selecting and documenting all the sanitary ware & ironmongery fittings for all in the 4 towers.
- Selecting and documenting the FF&E & soft furnishings in the project. This includes custom designed furniture for the Hotel & Serviced Apartments.
- Advising and liaising with the client on design ideas, aesthetic values and engineering factors of the project.
- Liaising with the QS team and client with regard to selected fittings and finishes, and further negotiating with suppliers to ensure the project meets the estimated budget.
- Attending coordination meetings and working alongside all design teams to ensure the design intent is achieved successfully and within budget.

Worked alongside the Head of Interiors on a multitude of varied design projects including large scale residential developments, boutique offices, high rise towers, sustainable offices, F&B venues, luxury hospitality projects, low budget staff accommodation and upscale public developments. I have worked in all stages of the design process for several of the above projects, from competitions and concepts through to site and hand over. I prepared project material for prestigious magazine and competition entries for the company, for which my presentation skills and creativity have been highly praised. I have worked individually primarily on concept and schematic stages of projects, and alongside the senior team on detail and construction stages. I have proven to be capable and dependable team player, contributing imagination, expertise and total commitment to large & small projects alike. My main expertise and passion lies in the selection of materials & finishes for projects, a task I have been almost solely responsible for in all ID projects at AK Design over the last 3 years.
