- Analysis of mycotoxins in agricultural produce for food safety and quality control
- Determination of active ingredient in agrochemicals for quality assurance purposes and pesticide registration
- Carrying out solubility tests of pesticides in various media
- Analysis of gossypol in cotton seed cake and cotton seed-based products
- Risk and hazard management during laboratory work
- Procurement of laboratory consumables and stock checks
- Research on methods of analysis and global trends in new agrochemicals
- Implementing the fertilizer, Farm feeds and remedies act
- Sampling fertilizer and farm feeds
- Plants, animal and soil toxicological analysis (heavy metals and inorganic)
- Supervision and training of new staff members and students on attachment
Currently research interest is on Evaluation of Aflatoxin M1 levels in processed milk products with particular emphasis on baby feeding formula in Zimbabwe.
Techniques exposed to: Instrumental analysis (UV-VIS Spectrophotometry, Atomic absorption spectrometry, Gas Chromatography and High Performance Liquid Chromatography), classical analysis (Titrations, gravimmetry)
