Position: A.R.E assistant resident engineer
Project Description: typical plots A, B, C & D each plot has one 33/11KV substation and four 11/0.415KV substation, each having 3x1500 KVA transformers, QRM, TRM unit. Each plot consists of 20 dormitory buildings of 3 types, and services buildings (kitchens, dinning, mosque, clinic, shopping center, bank, and administration building), firefighting pump rooms, and water supply pump rooms, street light, network of 1200 poles, including street light installation, cable laying, testing and commissioning.
Responsibility:
• Ensure prompt exchange of correspondence review and approval of shop drawing, material and equipment, mock-up and sample, *checking all I.R(inspection requests witch submitted by contractor)* Review contractor progress, monitor the work performed, the material incorporated in the work, stored, manpower, equipment.
• Monitoring sites as approved design drawings and incompliance with international and local authority regulation.
• Generate site instructions or NCR when they are required as per the construction quality in the site.
• Perform site visits to supervise works and assist contractor with problem solving.
• Site construction supervision and coordinate with civil engineers for substations construction and its services corridor are carried out as per specified /approved drawing...
• Preparing Technical specification of Electrical / equipment / Tendering Stage / preparing Electrical, Fire Alarm, Telephone system design, tender drawing and obtain NOC from local authorities.
• Coordinate and review the testing and commissioning procedures for LV and MV electrical cables, infrastructure MEP activities and streetlight utilities.
• Prepare Snag list and follow up.
• Power electric circuits testing as per local; authority regulation
• Attend site meetings MEP Technical and Progress Meetings.
• Check time program submittals of project.
• Ensuring all safety procedures and standard adhered to all time.
• Checking procurement in selecting and evaluating subcontractors and suppliers, study contract documents to become thoroughly acquainted with exact requirements and specification.
• Review and approve/sign all materials submission &shop drawings &samples, mock up samples, etc. .
• Checking with the Planning for the updating of the Project Schedule, Manpower Schedule, and Job progress and production in the site.
• Checking daily reports and compare them with actual activities in the site.
• Checking and reviewing all (MIR) materials inspection Requests related to the project.
• Review and checking updated progress on site with the Planning engineer and discussing all risks may be affected in negative impact in the progress of project &critical.
• Checking of all necessary progress reports required by client.
• Making all required corresponds with clients, contractors for the projects.
• Study all submitted variations (time +cost) which submitted by contractor and coordinate with all required team to finish these variations with clients without any delay.
• Manage the project to ensure quality control and quality insurance are complied with standard specifications.
• Erection, testing and commissioning of all electrical equipment like transformers, LV panels, MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, MCC, UPS and Capacitor Banks panels.
• Installation of cable network streetlight,
• Termination of proper grounding, lighting protection and streetlights
• Conduct factory test FAT&SAT for all electrical equipment (Transformers/ switchgear panels, MDB’s, SMDB’s, FDB’s MCC panels). Testing commissioning the electrical installations
