The Project Management Office of Dubai World Central is primarily responsible for managing the entire landside infrastructure portfolio of Programs and Projects estimated at US$ 33 billion, comprising of developments within the Aviation, Logistics, Residential, Leisure and Commercial businesses.
Ensure all of the Corporation’s Business Units and subsidiaries deliver their Projects in accordance with defined plans, on time and within budget
Serve as the central authority for DWC on all issues of Project Management
Oversee the delivery of all DWC Projects.
Develop a Project Management “Code of Best Practice” for DWC and monitor its application and adherence.
Build Project Management professionalism among DWC staff, providing mentoring, training and guidance on Project Management issues where necessary;
Encourage proper Project Management as a standard business practice which institutionalizes the production of regular progress updates, reports and other Project Management documentation for all Projects across all of DWC.
Keep DWC’s management team updated as to current and future projects and their delivery status;
Define and communicate a standard set of principles and tools (e.g. Risk Evaluation reporting standards and templates) and then be the resident advocate and model for DWC Project Management practices.
Responsible for proper execution of all projects in line with corporate strategies and business objectives.
Smartworld is a joint venture between Etisalat and Dubai world central was established in 2008 as a next generation ICT services provider delivering fully integrated and comprehensive managed services across several sectors in the Middle East. Smartworld works closely with government agencies, telecommunications operators, large enterprises as well as small and medium businesses to deliver them unique value.
Develop, monitor and review principles, policies, procedures, guidelines, standards and strategies with respect to all issues concerning ICT and support at Smartworld and make recommendations about these to the CEO as appropriate;
Receive an annual analysis of all Smartworld spend and provide advice and make recommendations to the CEO regarding budget and subsequent policy implications for new ICT developments, infrastructure and major acquisitions;
Consider and report on any matter referred to the Board by the CEO;
Be responsible for corporate governance of ICT; oversee the implementation of the Smartworld’s ICT Strategic Plan, and ensure alignment to other relevant DWC’s plans;
