As Project Consultant, lead and directed the Project Management Team in the strict design supervision and monitoring of related Works for the Water and Sanitation Projects .
Implemented strict compliance to Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations as required by the Ministry of Energy and Environment and Environment Protection Agency of the Maldives.
As Team Leader, the following tasked were successfully achieved:
• Lead and directed the Environmental Team in the conduct of environmental investigations and provided solutions to address environmental incidents on Air and Water Pollution, Solid and Hazardous Waste Management, and Environmental Conservation Programs; monitored the progress of the environmental performance of construction projects; developed effective Environmental and Sustainability KPIs to ensure continual progress; and, supported other Units on matters related to environment (i.e. creation of Environmental Policies/Guidelines/Codes of Practice on environmental protection, data collection, and, identification of Environmental Hazards and Controls).
• Lead and directed the team to ensure 100% mandatory compliance on all ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 requirements to sustain the Integrated Management System (IMS) implementation of RTCC.
• Lead and directed the HSE team in to comply with the Legal and Other Requirements of the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME) and Royal Commission (RC) of Saudi Arabia.
• Strictly enforced compliance of environmental deliverables including requirements of sub-contractors (i.e., CEMP, OEMP, Sustainability Management Plan) saving the company from unplanned litigation expenses, by ensuring that all Client's requirements and deadlines are complied.
• Successfully crafted Presentation Materials of RTCC’s Environmental Programs and Initiatives used in Client Meetings and Consultations.
As an Environmental Studies Preparer, completed preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP), Operations Environmental Management Plan (OEMP), Emergency Preparedness and Response Program (EPRP), Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA), and, Waste Management Plan (WMP) for RTCC Projects.
As Lead Auditor, lead and directed the IMS Internal Audit Team in monitoring and audit of the environmental performance of RTCC construction projects focusing on identified Aspects & Impacts (air and noise, water and wastewater, solid waste, hazardous waste, and subcontractor’s environmental performance) making its IMS implementation sustainable and successful since 2013.
As Environmental Trainer, ensured 100% attendance of all site and head office personnel to IMS Capacity Building and Orientation Seminars for full awareness of the IMS Policies and Guidelines and continually developed presentations and training materials for environmental and sustainability training.
As Unit Head/ Team Leader, Successfully lead the Environmental Unit and strictly implemented Environmental Safeguard Initiatives to projects of various industries (i.e. Construction of infrastructure projects, drainage & sewerage system projects, factories and production plants, petroleum depots, hydropower plants, geothermal plants, solar energy plants, mining, water and power distribution projects, industrial parks, agricultural projects, renewable energy, Ozone Depleting Substance Phase-out Project, etc.).
As Environmental Consultant, completed 100% preparation of commissioned environmental studies (i.e. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Initial Environment Examination (IEE) Reports, Environmental Performance Report & Management Plan (EPRMP), Initial Environment Examination (IEE) Checklist, Environmental Management Plan (EMP), Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans (EPRP), Project Description (PD), Engineer’s Report (ER), etc.) for all clients, in compliance with local and international environmental regulations.
As Lead Auditor, established the continuous monitoring and audit of the environmental performance of the 23 LBP operational sites, achieving continuous Re-Certifications of the company’s ISO 14001 management system for 13 years.
As designated Pollution Control Officer, successfully achieved 100% compliance to pollution prevention and mitigation measures which provided significant savings to the company from potential litigation expenses by addressing all environmental requirements thru monitoring and assessment of building facilities, sampling of wastewater, air emission testing from stationary sources, attending to complaints of various units on environmental and sanitation issues, etc..
As Environmental Trainer, successfully provided 100% EMS Awareness Trainings to all employees.
