I have performed two major consultancies since January 2008:

A. Currently I am conducting consultancy services in the Sultanate of Oman for the Information Technology Authority (ITA) for the 1st phase of establishing a National PC Initiative.

The main objectives of this Initiative are:
 To double PC penetration rate per citizens in Oman by 2011;
 To increase NPC computer market share in Oman within each targeted segment by at least 10%.


The sub-objectives of the initiative are:

 To encourage the usage of the training programs with an objective to train at least 75% of the citizen in Oman for using the PCs of the initiative;
 To encourage the usage of content development initiatives so at least 80% of the content developed as part of the NPC initiative will be developed by independent Omani entrepreneurs;
 To increase the use of Internet in Oman by at least 150%.

The long term objectives are intended to increase the economic activities in the IT sector by making Oman between the most suitable places for IT outsourcing and by connecting the Sultanate economic, social and industrial sectors.


B. I have also conducted a consultancy for the Human Resources department of Food and Drugs Corporation (FDC), one of the major distribution companies of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and pharmaceuticals in Lebanon.

My tasks consisted in helping them to hire a new HR team as well as restructure the department part of which was to develop and implement an electronic HR workflow system going through the whole procedure from the first step of tracking new recruits, to application filling, interview processing, applicants’ tests and grades, hiring process, training, salaries and KPIs of the personnel etc…

Managing and Restructuring a company that is a Golden Partner for Nortel Networks and as such offers the most advanced technology available today including IP Telephony, IP Cameras, Digital Key systems, Wireless products, Advanced Voice Messaging, Call Centers, CTI/IVR, Call Management, Speech Recognition, Data Switching, Remote Access, WAN/LAN, Access Controls and Biometric solutions, partnering with major suppliers such as AIRAYA, BELDEN, ALGO Communications, TELEDEX, PLANTRONICS, 3M, Bioscrypt, Selea.
This was achieved through:

 Keeping a day to day business relationship with our suppliers.
 Creating a new SMB Division within the Sales Department.
 Restructuring the Operations Department and creating a Maintenance Contracts Sales Division.
 Implementing new workflow and administrative processes.
 Creating a Presales and Tendering Department.
 Developing new markets for the Call Centres and IVR solutions.
