Project Management for SAUDI ELECTRIC COMPANY, site inspection and coordination of Substations and OHTL construction including witnessing of site testing and commissioning.
Project material inspection and approval prior to installation, conduct meeting with regards to project status and close out of punchlist.

• Attend JobEx meeting and site visit/inspection for project biddings.
• Material and labor costing of project biddings.
• Checking of drawings for Abortive works and Variation orders based on the design changes from IFC to
Shop drawings.
• Prepare cost estimate for change orders to be submitted to client.
• Quantification of materials based on approved shop drawing to be compared with Bill of Quantities from tender drawings.
• Responsible for gathering of data for material submittals and cost as matrix and price comparison for
Consultant/clients approval.
• Perform DC Hi-pot Testing for Medium Voltage cable.
• Vendor assistance for Pre-commissioning of Instrument & Electrical equipment including coordination and
scheduling for Proponent witness & inspection.

• Responsible for updating all of the IFC Design Drawings and documents with the final vendor’s data documents prior starting construction.
• Responsible for undertaking the technical review of submittals and verifying that the vendor supplied equipment meets the project requirements.
• Checking of drawings for Abortive works and Variation orders based on the design changes from IFC to
Shop drawings.
• Initiate value engineering concept to save time and cost without compromising quality and standard of work.
• Evaluation of submitted Variation orders and abortive works from sub-contractors.
• Prepare cost estimate for change orders to be submitted to client.
• Attend workshop meeting with regards to design changes.
• Site inspection for installed materials based on sub-contractors monthly progress billing.
• Quantification of materials based on approved shop drawing to be compared with Bill of Quantities from tender drawings.

• Conduct and presides meeting to coordinate work flow with other trades and sub-contractors.
• Checking of shop drawings and taking into account the requirements of all applicable standards, standard drawings and specifications.
• Checking and making sure that all execution of the project is carried out as per contract specifications and approved standard.
• Report to Project Management regarding accomplishments and problems that can occur along the way.
• Making sure that mechanical equipment list is cross checked with the electrical load schedules and calculations to avoid problems with equipment purchase and power system layouts.
• Delegate works to Field Engineers.
• Impose strict compliance on safety measures and safety regulations.
• Monitoring and checking of monthly progress billing.
• Preparing and identifying long lead items electrical equipment data and specification.
• Monitors work activities and ensures that good quality of work performed as per standard.
• Coordinates direct hire and subcontract activities to ensure materials, equipment and quality comply with design plans and specifications.
• Works with customer’s resident engineer and operating personnel to coordinate construction activities.

• Attend coordination meetings on work schedules and progress.
• Quality control and inspection of materials prior to installation.
• Checking of shop drawings and taking into account the requirements of all applicable standards, standard drawings and specifications.
• Checking of plans and drawings for MEP work coordination with other contractors.
• Checking of Electrical load calculation based on mechanical equipment.
• Site inspection of electrical works installation.
• Works with customer’s resident engineer and operating personnel to coordinate construction activities.
• Design and calculation of electrical loads and equipment.

• Preparation and monitoring of work progress based on approved scheduled plans.
• Coordinate of incoming power supply tie-in works from existing substation to new substation.
• Coordination with Central Control Room and Field Instrument Satellite House for the for Integration of Field Instruments and ELV systems.
• Site monitoring and inspection on construction works of fire alarm, paging, heat tracing, grounding, underground cable laying, cathodic protections and lighting systems.
• Raise and attend inspection of installed materials.
• Making sure of the quality and installations is in accordance to applicable standard.
• Checking of plans and drawings for coordination with other trade.
• Substation equipment layout supervision and witness for testing & commissioning based on testing procedures to make sure correct settings for protection relay parameters.
• Quality control & inspection of electrical equipment prior to installation.
• Work permit receiver.
• Working with, supervising and administering subcontractors and/or Direct Hire workforce.

• Coordination with other trade for the layout of MEP works to avoid conflict during site installation.
• Preparation of work progress and monitoring of change orders.
• Planning and work schedule preparations.
• Site monitoring and making sure of the quality and standard of installation.
• Safety orientation of workers during toolbox meeting to avoid injuries and accidents.
• Works with customer’s resident engineering and operating personnel to coordinate construction activities
• Implement and supervise electrical system installation as per approved standard and client specifications.
• Perform pre-commissioning for MCC, MVSG, and Transformers .

• Coordination with clients regarding schedule of works.
• Prepare and submit request for inspection for installed electrical system.
• Preparation of work schedules and material delivery schedules.
• Checking of work progress and qualities of works.
• Making sure that materials used is in accordance with the specifications and approved standards.
• Preparation of shutdown works methodology for upgrade of LVSG.
• Works with customer’s resident engineering and operating personnel to coordinate construction activities.

• Prepare work schedule and coordinate with Saudi Aramco consultant for the shutdown activities of substation.
• Checking of major materials specification prior to purchase and delivery.
• Coordinating with specialty contraction for major work activities, schedule of mobilization & testing of equipment.
• Delegate works to field Engineers.
• Checking of work progress and make sure that project is on track and within estimated cost.
• Estimation of project for Saudi Aramco such as Bulk Plants, Cogeneration project and substation construction and upgrading.
Bid estimate won : Riyadh Refinery Cogeneration Project, Jeddah Emergency Operating Valves,
Fire Protection Upgrade for Riyadh, Najahran and Sullayil Bulk Plants.

• Devise method on project planning, reporting and estimate.
• Train newly hired Engineers in the field of estimate and project handling.
• Encourage site value engineering that made savings to benefit both owner and contractor.
• Attend and address project construction problems.
• Attend project bidding and site inspection.
• Check estimate cost, and make sure that proposed materials are in compliance with specification prior to final costing.

• Prepare schedule of preventive maintenance works.
• Recommend replacements of defective equipment.
• Preparation of shutdown schedule for major preventive maintenance works.
