• Development and promotion of in-court advice
service and collaborative work with partner
organisations to ensure smooth service delivery
and growth of the service.
• Legal research and keeping up-to-date with
legislative changes
• Review of procedure and practice in civil
proceedings in Sheriff Court.
• Assist with preparation of draft rules for submission
to Court of Session for approval.
• Advice, consultation and training on all aspects of
employment law.
• Research, compilation, delivery of training courses
and materials and articles for Employment News
publication.
• Drafting documentation for employer clients in
accordance with statutory and contractual
requirements.
• Delivery of talks, presentations lectures on
employment law.
• Tribunal representation (employment and social
welfare law), co-ordination of tribunal workload and
management of caseload of clients.
• Supervision, training of delivery of specialist support
of staff and volunteers.
• Research, publicity and promotion of Citizens Advice
Bureau services to the local community.
• Maintenance of confidential case records and files.
• Detailed statistical and written reporting
