Reasons for Leaving:
\[The setting could not provide me with the visa - hence the management has told me that I can look for another suitable placement. The nursery management is willing to pay my fines for the over stay when the new employer can issue me the visa.\]

•Recruited staff and carried out induction sessions continuously as an on-going process. Inducted staff on: working hours, equality, diversity and inclusion, partnership working with other professionals, safeguarding, facilities at the centre, organisational culture, ethics, EYFS curriculum, observation and assessments. Took feedback on induction and devised action plan.
•Supervised staff - carried out the supervision meetings - devised action plans.
•Set the nursery kitchen according to the food and safety standards. Implemented all the food safety standards while cooking, serving, re-heating and storing food. (UK City & Guilds Course on Food Safety) - implemented HACCP. Designed recording sheets for maintaining records for the storage, serving, handling and cooking of food.
•Formulated 40 policies and procedures - (to name a few) safe guarding, sun protection, complaints, personnel, sick child policy, medication, hygiene, positive behaviour management, anti-bullying policy, parental partnership policy, partnership policy with other professionals, equality, diversity and inclusion policy, policy for the use of mobile phones, child's right and entitlements policy, confidentiality of children's record.
•Created the twelve yearly themes for the centre. Developed lesson plans for the entire academic year based on the themes - covered all the Seven (7) Learning Areas of the EYFS curriculum.
•Designed Summer Camp lesson plans and flyers. Designed three camps:
•School Readiness Camp
•Summer Camp based on 8 weekly themes.
•A Science and Discovery Camp.
•Supported and developed the nursery team - provided in-house CPD sessions of Jolly phonics, Mathematics in Classrooms, Positive Behaviour Management.
•Organized the open house for the nursery- got sponsors to sponsor the event.
•Carried out effective marketing for the nursery: I wrote: reviews, articles, published blog posts. Set up Booth for the nursery at the Dubai Nursery Show.
•Created management reports, and maintaining staff and child records.
•Running the centre in line with environmental, health and safety and fire regulations. I implemented all the quality care standards: worked closely with KHDA, Dubai Municipality and Civil Defense to meet all the regulatory requirements.
•Created a safe, caring and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play
•Supervised activity planning to make sure that children's needs were met
•Working closely with parents and practitioners, giving them a high standard of customer service, including regular progress reports.
•Worked with colleagues and other professionals (Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapist and Behavioural Therapist) to make sure that children's needs are met
•Making sure that equipment, such as furniture and toys, is in good condition. I had maintained inventory and repair records.
•Arranged and managed tours for parents.

The job was not a permanent placement. I was hired to raise the quality standards of the centre. It was a project based opportunity. It was agreed that as soon as I will find the placement in another set-up (preferably a nursery) I will move. \]

•Developed new learning projects for the discovery center, based on Brain Gym Curriculum for Music and Movement, Science and Technology, Language Literacy and communication, Mathematics and Creative Arts.
•Trained 20 Staff members and provided them an opportunity for on-site professional development. Trained staff on DIY cutting, running science labs, Music and movement curriculum, Language, Literacy and Communication, the creative arts (including modelling, sculpting, sketching, role-play, language of play and dramatics), customer services. Explained the benefits of the learning outcomes and the best ways to practice them.
•Organized on-site major events, arranged resources, trained staff, deputed staff and supervised the events.
•Supervised, managed induction, appraisals. Trained the Project Manager on customer service.
•Arrange and procured resources for the learning center, which added to the elevation of the customer image of the discovery center.
•Organized and carried out winter camps, designed a whole themed project based on the theme of the Winter Camp.
•Managed day to day operations of the discovery center, including staff scheduling, handling of customers and marketing through websites, social media etc.
•Worked with the director to execute new business plans for the new academic year.
•Worked on launching Birthday Party projects and organizing field trips for all the major American and British Schools.
•Managed to deliver presentations to schools for the after-school classes for Computer Explorers- a franchise from USA. Briefed about the educational benefits. Sold the program to the aspiring parents and teachers and managed the operations of the classes. Worked on 28 courses from Computer Explorers (Minecraft, green screen programming, Wedo Robotics, EV3 Mind Storm, video game programming, clay animation. (to name a few)
