Standby Lead Engineer /Sr. Pipeline Engineer/ Checker -for Shedgum Uthmaniyah Pipeline
Project\[DETAIL DESIGN\]
This project aims at extending the production life of the declining Shedgum/Uthmaniayah reservoir,
thus maintaining the inlet pressure to Shedgum Gas Plant (SGP). For this, the design Engineering
scope for pipeline extends for new Flowlines, Trunklines, Gas Transmission pipeline, Multiphase
Transmission lines, Liquid Transmission Lines, Gas Gathering Manifolds(GGM), Liquid Seperation
Station(LSS), Gas Compression Plant(GCP).
As a Sr. Pipeline Engineer/ Checker for the Project, the responsibilities are
 to make sure of the accuracy and quality of all the Pipeline deliverables (both Documents
and drawings).
 Leading project in the absence of the Lead Engineer.
 Attending quality audits to represent pipeline department

Lead Pipeline Engineer for Marjan Upstream Onshore Pipelines\[FEL-2 DBSP stage and
FEL3 FEED\]
The Marjan Field Development Program will provide facilities to increase the crude processing
capacity by 300 MBCD and to transport the additional crude to Juaymah terminal. In addition, it will
provide facilities to process approximately 1, 800 MMSCFD of incremental associated, non-
associated and cap gas from Marjan field to produce sales gas and C2+ NGLs. As a part of this
there are 5 onshore pipeline which the onshore pipeline team is responsible for. These pipeline
forms the upstream pipelines which is currently under the FEL-2 DBSP stage.
As a Lead Pipeline Engineer for the Project, the responsibilities includes
 Preparation of drawings like valve station drawings, Route maps, Facility Plot Plans
 Preparation of Wall thickness, Population density Index reports
 Conducting Site visits, Google maps study related pipeline routing
 Inputs to DBSP, attending interdisciplinary meetings etc.
 Ensuring the quality and correctness of all pipeline deliverables.
 Answering Bidder’s Queries.
Project-Field Gas Compression Project - Haradh and Hawiyah \[DETAIL DESIGN\]
Project Proposal for the Haradh and Hawiyah Field Gas compression project to boost the gas of
Haradh and Hawiyah field well heads pressure to the inlet design feed pressure of Hawiyah and
Haradh Gas Plant by installing Gas compression facilities and the required piping to the existing gas
gathering network. For this, the design Engineering scope for pipeline extends for new Flowlines,
Trunklines, Gas Transmission pipeline, Multiphase Transmission lines, Liquid Transmission Lines,
Gas Gathering Manifolds(GGM), Liquid Seperation Station(LSS), Gas Compression Plant(GCP).
As a Pipeline Engineer for the Project, the responsibilities includes
 Preparation of calculations for road crossing, Bouyancy, Wall thickness, Hydrostatic test.
 Preparation of Safety Instruction sheets, Specification, Material requisition, Data sheet for
long lead pipeline items.
 Preparation of drawings like Station Approach drawing, Alignment sheet, Route maps, Tie
in drawings.
 Preparation of Technical Bid Responses, Bid evaluation and related reports
 Conducting Site visits and related reports.
 Procurement support to ARAMCO for all long lead pipeline Items directly reporting from
ARAMCO office.

In this role was part of in-house engineering team where our prime objective was to make the FEED
deliverables for the GAS & OIL pipeline project. Upon completion of the same project was tendered
in the market for the best Bidder. All the relevant pipeline deliverables were produced to make the
bidder understand the full scope of the project which inturn helps him to quote for the project. For
the detail phase of the projects it’s the same team which shall enrol in progressing the project with
the successful EPC. All the pipeline deliverables required for the project will be closely
discussed/reviewed and finalised with the EPC.
Project - TRC pipeline project \[DETAIL DESIGN\].Working as the pipeline focal point for the
ongoing execution of this 500 m gas pipeline extending from SQU- GSS facility to TRC facility. The
EPC for this project is undertaken by TESCO and their consultant being Tebodin.

 Reviewing/ commenting deliverables and expediting the consultant and contractors for
meeting schedules with correctness.
 Independently handling this project for reviewing/ commenting deliverables and expediting
the consultant and contractors for meeting schedules with correctness and accompanying in
the site visits as and when required.
Project - OGC North facilities project \[FEED STAGE\]. Working as the pipeline focal point and
currently the FEED stage is completed within OGC. This north project comprise mainly of 3 separate
pipeline projects. The pipeline originates from Sohar GSS and traverses to OPWP power plant and to
LPIC area. The third pipeline starts from tap off from existing Fahud Sohar gasline and new fahud
Sohar loopline and traverses to IPP.
As the focal pipeline engineer for the project, the responsibilities includes
 Making all the required FEED deliverables.
 Conducting Site visit to Sohar port.
 Replying to Bidders query.
 Route selection and feasibility study.
 Attending DR and HAZOP.
Project - Sohar Industrial Estate Debottlenecking project. \[FEED STAGE\]. This 1.2 km Pipeline
starts from OGC’s GSS inside SIE and needs to cater to 4 existing customers inside of the SIE. All
the required FEED deliverables were generated inhouse.
As the Focal Pipeline Engineer for the project, the responsibilities included
 Making all the required FEED deliverables.
 Conducting Site visit to Sohar port.
 Replying to Bidders query.
 Route selection and feasibility study.
 Attending DR and HAZOP.
Project - Salalah loopline project \[DETAIL STAGE\] This project is currently in the DD phase for
which the FEED was completed by 2011 by Worley Parsons. The main task is increasing the capacity
of the existing 24inch Saih-Rawl to Salalah line by looping it by another separate 32” loopline
extending from existing BVS12 to BVS15.
As the Focal Pipeline Engineer for the project, the responsibilities included
 Responsible for reviewing/commenting/Approval of all the pipeline deliverables issued from
EPC.
 Attending DR and HAZOP .
 Numerous Site visits.
Project -Razmarkaz Oil Pipeline Project \[CONCEPT/FEED STAGE\] This project has completed
the concept phase and now currently in FEED stage. Scope comprises of 2 separate pipelines. One
42inch, 417 km pipeline from Nahda to Razmarkaz and the other 28inch, 80 km pipeline from
Razmarkaz to Duqm. All the FEED STAGE deliverables are made separately for the 28inch and
42inch pipeline.
As the PMC Pipeline Engineer for the project, the responsibilities included
 The review/comment/approval cycle for the 28inch pipeline.
 The review/comment/approval cycle for the 48inch pipeline.
 Attending weekly meetings with consultant for technical point closeouts.

Project - Pipeline Engineer for OMAN GAS (OFFSHORE) Pipeline Project \[CONCEPT/FEED
STAGE\]. This project is currently under the Concept- FEED phase. The main agenda is to transport
gas from Iran to Oman since the consumption in Oman is bound to boost over the coming years. This
shall be served by installing a 200km offshore pipeline from Iran to Oman. OGC is acting as the PMC
for this project where all the deliverables produced by the Iranian counterpart shall be reviewed by
OGC.
As the pipeline engineer for the project, the responsibilities included
 Expediting / making pipeline related relevant engineering deliverables which includes
preparation/review of FEED documents including specification, reports, calculations, C4,
C6, drawings etc as and when required for several parallel projects within the company.
Actively participating and closing out in the design review action closeout points and giving
critical inputs during DR for several projects as per the requirement.

Project -Pipeline Lead Engineer: EPCC for South Oman Projects -FEED + DD(Client: PDO).
AL BURJ GATHERING STATION FLARE GAS RECOVERY PROJECT (FEED + DD)
The motive of the project is to recover the flare gas which is released from the flare in the Burj
gathering station. The flare gas shall be carried from Burj to Amal station via proposed 10” GRE line.
The motive gas for this purpose shall be from Amal production station itself to Burj gathering station
via proposed 4” above ground CS pipeline.
OIL RECOVERY FROM NWTP PROJECT (FEED + DD)
The motive of this project is to recover the oil from the Nimr Water Treatment Plant (NWTP) and to
route it back to Nimr production station (NRPS). This is done by means of proposed CS PE lined
above ground pipeline routed from NWTP to NIMR-G MSV.
AMAL SOLAR STEAM GENERATOR (OFF-PLOT) (FEED + DD)
The main aim of this project is to increase the supply of steam to the Amal west oil wells. This is done
by bringing a new solar steam generation (SSG) plant. The steam production from SSG shall be
made available to the Amal west wells with the help of proposed 12” CS steam line and proposed 8”
CS - PE lined pipelines both extending between the SSG and the existing system.
As the Lead Pipeline engineer for the project, the responsibilities included
 All the applicable pipeline related engineering activities are done for the above including
CTR, site visits, pipeline routing, feasibility studies, tie in identification, relevant SOW
preparation for third parties, generating applicable reports, calculation drawings,
specification, TBE, etc.
Project - Pipeline Lead Engineer: Yibal Rejuvenation Project - FEED (Client: PDO). This FEED
project is for the PDO North zone. The main aim of this project is to upgrade existing system which
includes vast scope for both flowlines and pipelines. The engineering of this project involved the
highly challenging task of rerouting of a total length of 300 km of flowlines from 150 wells (while
keeping the existing flowlines operational), 24 MSVs in 8 MSV stations and 51km of
trunklines/pipelines in one of the most congested PDO fields. The material of construction for all the
pipelines was GRE and Carbon Steel for Flowlines
As the Lead Pipeline engineer for the project, the responsibilities included
 Urban Plan, Detail Route Map, Alignment Sheets, Station Approach Drawings, Calculation
reports, Specifications, Requisitions and preliminary TBE of all pipeline items.

Project -NGL Pipeline FEED Study - FEED (Client: CB&I / ORPIC) FEED for NGL Extraction
Project (Owner ORPIC, Operator OGC) thru’ Chicago Bridge & Iron Company (CB&I). The FEED
design is for 300 km 14” CS buried pipeline in NGL service - the first NGL pipeline in Oman extending
from Fahud to Sohar. The scope also included 2 x 2.5 km 36” CS pipelines for associated Rich/ Lean
Gas from Fahud NGLE plant to Fahud Compressor plant and vice versa.
As the Pipeline engineer for the project, the responsibilities included
 The engineering of this project includes Over All Route Map, Alignment Sheets, Station
Approach Drawings, Calculations and Reports and Specifications of all pipeline items.
Project - Pipeline Engineer: Al Ghubar Main Development Project - CONCEPT (Client: PDO)
The objective of this study is to carry out the site selection and Route plan for Al-Ghubar off-plot
facilities. This includes evaluating different concepts and determining the optimum solutions to meet
the required production with a target availability and effectiveness of 99.5% and with optimum
investment. The engineering of this project includes selection workshops, Urban planning reviews,
Constructability reviews, MSV location study, Site visits and Concept selection workshops.description.
