Process Engineer - (17 months)
• Thorough knowledge of Recycling of waste oil (Re - Refining) using vacuum distillation / evaporation process using a Wiped Film evaporator (WFE) with clay based filtration.
• Involved in commissioning of a state of the art Clay polishing system (CPS) which improves the colour and removes odour of lube base oil.
• Involved in reviewing detailed design engineering drawings and other technical documents to ensure compliance with applicable requirements and design objectives.
• Prepared PFD's and C&E diagrams and involved in process simulations and calculations.
• Provided support and troubleshooting assistance to production and maintenance departments.
• Coordinated and participated in Process safety reviews such as HAZOP analysis.

(US CGPA equivalent: 3.61 on 4) • Dissertation on "Improving heat integration in waste to energy plants". Simulated a typical waste to energy incineration plant in Aspen Hysys and devised pathways for extracting heat and improving efficiency. Investigated specialised pathways like Organic Rankine cycle. Presented Carbon capture and storage techniques (CCS) . Overall efficiency increase of 3 to 4 %. • Developed an excellent knowledge of key concepts in design of chemical processes and equipment, especially distillation, energy and reaction systems design and selection of utilities, with computer aided design, simulation and optimisation.
