During my education at the Jinan University, I had the privilege to participate in different training courses and activities as part of a team with fellow students or solely to report on a wide variety of topics (e.g. sport, news, business, healthcare, lifestyle) through which I gain 1) the ability to write interesting and productive articles for either targeted audiences or general public as well as contributing articles, comments and opinion pieces; 2) thorough knowledge of both print and broadcast new medias; and 3) photograph a multitude of events. Further points include, but not limited to:
•Conduct interviews with people and officials.
•Collect data from a variety of sources to assimilate hard and soft news stories.
•Wrote feature articles and editorials.
•Participating in social & community events.
•Take photographs to supplement news and feature articles.
•Assist in final layout of the newspaper.
•Develop and assign ideas and plans for news coverage, feature stories, and investigating stories.
•Provide complete, accurate and compelling coverage of both anticipated and spontaneous news for printing and online media.
•Learn how to protect source confidentially at all costs.
•Awareness of current laws and regulations relating to journalism and photojournalist.
