WeatherFord Drilling International, Pakistan is a branch office of WeatherFord Drilling International (BVI) Ltd. - USA based company. Head Office in Houston, it is one of the best Oil & Gas Drilling & Exploration Companies in the world, with an annual turnover of more than 27 Million USD for the Pakistan Branch.
I am completely responsible of Accounts Dept. as there is no Country Controller and reporting to the Regional Controller in Dubai. However the major areas of my responsibilities include;
DUTIES:
• Supervised Overall Finance Dept of the company
• Responsible for Preparing Monthly Management Reports and month end process.
• Coordinate and Supervise maintenance of Statutory Books of Accounts.
• Preparing AFES. Budgeting and Forecasting for CAPEX and OPEX
• Variance Analysis and Cost Control
• Coordinated internal and External Audits
• Compliance on Tax issues
• Manage and plan Cash Flow.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
Meeting deadlines.

Managed to keep the Revenue and FOP above budget and Cost below the budget line.
Reduced the Days Sales Outstanding from 90 days to 47 days.
Managed to bill Invoices within 15 days; previously they were unbilled and pending for more than six months.
Coordinated and managed to get permission from Tax Authorities for withholding tax to be deducted at 6% instead of 15%.
Previously Pay Slips were either not issued or were delayed for several months, coordinated, a proper system and trained Payroll staff and now Pay Slips are issued by the 10th of every month.

Pride Forasol Pakistan is a branch office of Pride International - a USA-based company. Head Office in Houston, it is one of the largest Oil & Gas Drilling & Exploration Companies in the world.
In Pakistan, I am completely responsible for Accounts, Finance, Audit, and Corporate Tax matters, also reporting to the Regional Office (Veleizy-France) and Head Office (Houston-USA). However, the major areas of my responsibilities include;
DUTIES:
• Supervised maintenance of preparation of Financial Statements.
• Administered Vendor Setup. Payments, Account reconciliations, Bank Reconciliations, Financial

Collection of receivables within 35 to 40 days.
Timely completion of Internal and external audit.
Timely submission of annual and monthly tax returns to the tax dept. as per local tax laws.
Coordinated and managed to get a refund amounting to 100, 000 USD in Cash and an adjustment of 150, 000 USD against the Income-tax demands of various periods from Tax Authorities.
Coordinated and managed to get permission from Tax Authorities for withholding tax to be deducted at 6% instead of 15%.
