Key Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include revamping of the big data analytics processes and devise a lifecycle for data science projects in order for those to be more affectively executed and automated. I am also tasked with the responsibility of taking handover of all the analytical work done by vendors and partner organizations, retrain and refresh the outdated analytical models and in house development of predictive, descriptive and prescriptive analytical models for new business requirements.
Following are the major projects completed so far:
Customer 360 View for Outbound CVM Campaigns: The project included revamp of targeting logic behind 200+ CVM campaigns. The project encompasses development of 4 predictive and 3 segmentation models along with customer profile to address the complete prepaid customer base as 2000 micro-segments each with a designated CVM offer to be pitched on the “most likely to subscribe” day.
Dynamic Products Recommendation Engine: Near real time updating personalized product recommendations for complete prepaid customer base based on recharge & inactivity prediction, real time recharges, real time balance, customer potential segment and historical usage trends
Network Investment Analysis for ExCo: Dashboard for analysis of sales and revenue impact of new coverage and capacity sites launched throughout 2019
Network Congestion Analysis: Analysis of data users across the network to identify the abusers of FUP per zone and take necessary actions regarding network expansion/throttling customers for uninterrupted data services across Qatar
Big Data Analytics as a Service: Working with Enterprise Commercial team for development of Footfall and Social Media Analytics on aggregated Telecom Consumer Data to be provided as service to partner organizations in retail and hospitality industry.
Qatar Tourism Analytics: Qatar’s first commercial big data as a service project for a telco
Project scope included analysis of the location data of inbound roamers on Vodafone network to identify the tourists and further analyzing their footfall across the hotels and attractions that they are visiting across Qatar during their stay. Scope of work also included developing dashboards on anonymized and aggregated data for a government organization.

Key Responsibilities: Job responsibilities included providing technical consultancy to commercial teams for predictive, descriptive analytics and prescriptive analytics following the complete process of CRISP-DM starting from business requirements gathering to data understanding, building the models, evaluation, deployment and presentation of results to senior management as well as business stake holders. Job responsibilities also included coordination with vendor and other technical teams for the integration of non-traditional/unstructured telecom data sources (DPI, Signaling Probes, Portals, Mobile Applications, and Social Media) with Big Data Platform (Hadoop).
Dubai Real Time Population Density: UAE’s first commercial big data as a service project for a telco
Worked as technical lead from Etisalat with multiple vendor teams for the design and development of real time data feed of anonymous, aggregated location stats of Etisalat customers to be used for population movement and density dashboard for a government organization.

Real Time CVM Marketing Platform: Worked with vendor on design, development, testing and automation of 100+ real time CVM marketing campaigns based on location, browsing behavior, usage, payments, complaints and customer profile of Mobile and Landline Subscribers
Predictive Models: Churn prediction for enterprise customers, Recharge and revenue forecasting
Descriptive Models: Socio-Economic Segmentation, Credit scoring, Social Network Analysis (SNA), DPI (Browsing Data) classification, Products recommendation engine
Big Data Analytics as a Service: Client facing role with external clients from retail and hospitality industry to provide analytics as a service based on anonymized and aggregated data of telecom subscribers e.g. footfall, browsing preferences. (10+ POCs delivered)

Key Responsibilities: Worked as technical team lead for the design and development of predictive and descriptive machine learning models (Churn/Recharge/Revenue/Product Prediction), Customer Segmentation, Social Media Analysis, Social Network Analysis (SNA) and offer recommendation engine for CVM campaigns on a customer base of around 20 Million.
Job role also included presenting the models/analysis results in Tableau dashboards.
Also worked with senior management and vendors for evaluating best analytics tools and technologies in market to devise analytics roadmap for the company to introduce Clickstream (DPI) Segmentation, Data Monetization and Big Data.

Analytics as a Service Project: Technical lead in Pakistan’s first analytics as a service project for a telco
PTCL Advanced Analytics Enablement: As a sister company we worked for enabling PTCL Pakistan to drive their business through analytics. Project scope included identification of data analysis opportunities, extracting the data and preparing analytical data sets (ADS), develop prediction and segmentation models and train PTCL’s technical team to maintain and retrain the models independently.

Key Responsibilities: Working for the development of prediction models, customer segmentation, model based analysis of subscribers for campaign targeting and social network analysis (SNA) on a customer base of around 20 Million. I have gained hands on experience on KXEN Infinite Insights, Teradata Warehouse Miner, Teradata SQL Assistant and IBM InfoSphere Streams.
Social Media Analysis: Extracting social media data from Facebook and Twitter and tag documents sentiments using Alchemy API.
Tableau: Job role also includes presenting the models/analysis results in Tableau dashboards for visual analytics.
Teradata DWH: Job roles also includes the preparation and preprocessing of data from Teradata DWH for training of prediction Models.
PTCL Project: Developed Customer Segmentation Model for PTCL in KXEN Smart Segmentation for upselling of Outgoing Mobile Calls from PTCL.
IBM InfoSphere Streams: Job role also includes looking after the operations of IBM InfoSphere Streams deployed at Ufone.

Key Responsibilities: Primary role in IBM GBS was to provide technical consultancy, in the Advance Analytics domain. I have gained experience in IBM SPSS Modeler, IBM SPSS Statistics, IBM InfoSphere Data Explorer and IBM InfoSphere Streams. The projects on which I have worked are as following:
1. Team Lead IBM SPSS & UNICA Operations at CMPak (ZONG); March 2014 to August 2014
Ensured that team is motivated, monitored and measured in line with client targets and performance standards. Responsible for making sure that any gaps in performance or quality are quickly identified and addressed. Produced accurate reports on team performance for senior managers.
2. SPSS Analytics Implementation and Operations at CMPak (ZONG); May 2013 to August 2014
Worked at China Mobile Pakistan (ZONG) with Customer Life Cycle Management and IT teams for the development and operations of predictive models in IBM SPSS Modeler for better decision making.
3. Real Time Dropped Call Monitoring with IBM InfoSphere Streams; June 2014 to August 2014
POC Project. Implemented real time dropped calls analysis of a Telco data on IBM InfoSphere Stream.
4. Capacity Analytics and Performance (IBM Global Technical Services, USA); Dec 2013-Jan2014 Hardware forecasting for bottle-neck precautions and future enhancements

Key Responsibilities: Worked as team member for Software Defined GSM Jammer, GSM Interceptor and Ground Penetrating Radar Projects. Responsible for technical support as well as testing of the products.
