I am responsible for the administration of a range tools, which are used for optimizing the client’s travel programs. These tools allow our clients to achieve significant cost savings by focusing on sourcing strategies, compliance and demand management. In support to this, I generate a large number of data driven analysis that are focus on the purchasing behaviour of the travellers with the aim of reviewing the current performances and highlighting future saving opportunities. Additionally, I produce various types of reports for analysing the penetration level of these tools and I am holding training sessions for internal and external users with the aim of up selling these products and increasing their adoption rate. On the other hand, I am also supporting the program managers with a range of analysis focused on the adoption rate of the OBTs and I offer after sales assistance to the clients
My duties were related to the organisation of various business travel arrangements, for a global pharmaceutical company. I gained experience in the reservations of various travel products and in a range of administration tasks which include; the update of personal profiles and the issue, refund and reissue of air, train and ferry tickets. I was regularly undertaking overtime shifts at the Carlson Wagonlit Travel 24 hours worldwide emergency centre, where I constantly dealt with last minute emergencies queries, requiring the creation, amendment and cancellation of travel reservations stored worldwide in 4 different CRSs. On the other hand, I was also involved in the training of the new staff and I have recently updated and reorganised the travel policy and training manuals for the entire account. Finally, I was responsible the creation of statistics, to which the team need to comply accordingly with various key performance indicators and travel policies.
Throughout the time that I have been with this organization I gained significant experience in various range of position. Within the Ground Support Department my main duties where related to the support of the offline sales operation with regard to a wide range of products and services. I Have gained experience in negotiating competitive hotel rates, contract regulations and with sales staff when any quality control issue was arising. I also undertook various administration tasks in relation to payments, amendments and cancellations of the sales. I have also significant competency in the administration and database loading of the allocation related to ground products and services with a significant range of international suppliers. On other hand, as Travel Consultant, my main duties related to the sales of travel and tourism products, at a business to business level to travel agencies. These included published and consolidated fares for short/long haul flights and various round the world fares such as; BA and Qantas World Discoveries, Star Alliance, Escapade, One World, Boomerang and South American air passes. Alongside at these, I was also selling various arrangements related to accommodation, holiday packages, transfers and travel insurance etc
