Supervising a crew of pipe fitters and welders in the prefabrication of pipeworks to be installed during planned shutdowns in major oil refineries in South Africa.Scoping planned works to be carried out during the shutdowns, redlining drawings where required and submitting for approval before fabrication.Requesting RT. and PT. where required as per welding procedure, reqesting of permits to work where required, completing of daily field and progress sheets, carrying out toolbox and safety talks, attending daily, weekly progress meetings when requested.Identifying of materials to be used prior to fabrication, requesting of pre-heat and postweld treatments where required as per WPS.Taking care of my fellow workmen
