Responsible for all lab testing and x-rays for this immediate care facility. As this was a fast paced clinic and being highly motivated, I used my medical assisting experience to cross over and assist the MAs to keep the patient flow to a maximum.
At this facility we encountered a vast array of medical emergencies as we had many workman’s compensation patients. These included pain management, casting of broken bones and various head, facial and eye injuries.
As a self started I enjoyed the challenges of the many cases that I came in contact with. Being able to work all aspects of the clinic I was able to utilize all my skills in sutures, ECGs, phlebotomy, x-rays, charting, coding, and dispensing oral and injectable medications.
