•Import & Export Related Activities
•Responsible for supporting and developing a strong Import and Export freight forwarding operations
•Organizing the safe, efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods (via shipping line, airlines and road freight operators) keeping in consideration the type of goods and customer delivery requirements
•Actively identify opportunities to improve operations and drive operational performance to maximize the revenue, productivity quality and cost controls.
•Manage Service Quality and Monitor the satisfaction levels for key clients ensuring a quality customer service including Fast Clearance and proper transportation with safe delivery on time.
•Monitoring the relation with the service suppliers and securing fair prices and payment terms.
•Manages the business process used to ensure the accuracy of Invoices, Shipping statements and Shipping documents.
•Reviewing and closing the job files before handling them over to the head of accounts.
•Developing the company overseas network
•Securing productivity run of the company assets such warehousing and transportation, Destination clearance charges and Delivery
•Establishes, Monitors and revises policies, procedures and service standard for station operations
•Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviewing work and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures and performance management process.
•Practicing and monitoring a quality business targeting to ensure the participation of the operation team in the business development activities
●Responsible for the overall operations in both Air and Sea Shipment (Import/Export).
●Ensures that the customer satisfy about the rates and quote for their requirements.
●Monitoring all the Import/Export shipments.
●Assures that all the necessary documents are arranged for the customs formalities in both Export/ Import shipments. (Air/Sea)
●Responsible for the Quotation on overall services, (Air, Sea, Customs Clearance and Delivery.)
●Maintaining that all the shipment will be delivered on time without any delays or failure.
●Responsible for the shipment which requires special approvals to the ministry as per Qatar Customs Law. (EPC, ICT Approvals)
●Coordinate with our counterpart agents all over the world regarding the rates and overall movement of the shipment.
●Excel at Customer Service - Managing & Handling Inquiries, Quoting, Follow- ups, Keeping Track, updating, maintaining long term relationship, attending to their needs, supporting, problem solving, ensuring smooth operations and ultimately customer service satisfaction.
●Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by our General Manager.
•Accountable for ensuring Certificates issued are compliance with the relevant client, Government standards and Intertek’s operating standards.
•Client documentation reviewed in line with KPI standards ensured.
•Accuracy of client data both exporter/importer upon receipt of request for inspection and/or testing Ensuring:
Documentation provided can be used and where requested translated into English language Inspection and/or testing requests are generated with a same day of receipt and inspection packages are in accordance with procedures for onward cascade to Inspections Coordinator CSC
•Validity of client credit background to be checked ensuring: All relevant information has been received and verified. Description of goods inspected and/or tested are checked against the final documentation Recorded information is accurate and in line with operational guidelines. Ensure that all re-inspection and/or testing fees are paid before generating new inspection requests Ensure work queue is reviewed, maintained and updates on a daily basis.
●Build working relationship with technical support to address client inquiries.
●Quality assurance is a critical success factor ensuring: Documents/Certificates are proof read for quality and dispatching of final certificate. Issuing of re-issues and/or amendments to certificates are accurate and correct.
●Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Operations Manager.
•Load planning and allocation for cargo/aircraft load and components on EK flights on day today basis.
•Coordinating and Monitoring QAS GHA loading for EK flights.
•Liaising with Cargo agents for day today loads for our flights.
•Reserving space for critical sectors to evade last minute space constraints.
•Analyzing daily tonnage upliftment report on EK flights.
•Reserving weekly allotments for Cargo agents on weekly basis.
•Tele sales activity for additional loads from our cargo Agents on daily basis and offeringthem ADHOC spot rates to secure the business.
•Coordinating with DXB ULD and QAS ULD Teams on daily basis to maintain station ULDstock levels.
•Generating Daily Discrepancy Reports Imports and Exports and updating EK Hub teamand following up with QAS tracing Team.
•Handling and solving import cargo related discrepancies across the network and liaisingwith customers and action their queries promptly regarding their cargo related issues.
•Supervising and monitoring our loading and offloading activities on Ramp side.
• Responsible for Acceptance of different kinds of Cargo (General Cargo, Perishable Cargo, Live Animals, Dg Shipments and Valuable Shipments)
• Checking the inventory warehouse and responsible for a day-by-day report.
• Conducts debit card/ credit card transactions.
• Checking all necessary documents for air transport.(based on IATA Tact Rules)
• Performs Acceptance and Manifesting Task.
• Checking cargo for build-up/Break-Bulk (Import & incoming)
• Checking transiting Shipment and Documents
• Encodes cargo details in the system(CargoSpot)
• Familiarize about TACT Rules and IATA Dangerous Goods Regulation
• Daily Monitoring/Supervising about import, export and transiting cargoes.
• Assigned as an (OIC)Supervisor in Day to Day cargo operations
• Performs Cargo Manifesting and responsible for Finalization of a flight.
• Load planning on cargo on our daily flights.
• Performs Daily Cargo Operations (Export/Import and Transit section)
• Sending Pre Alerts status of the shipments to destinations.
