• Implement all works related to mechanical maintenance (preventive, break down maintenance etc.) of the power plant equipment and auxiliaries.
• Assist to prepare the mechanical maintenance plan/schedule according to the manufacturer recommendation and ensure its proper implementation.
• To prepare the list of the materials (spare tools, consumables) to be required for mechanical maintenance.
• To supervise on demand repair works of plant equipment in workshop and also carry out maintenance works of workshop machinery.
• Oversee and train subordinates to carry out all mechanical maintenance.
• Maintain maintenance work records and prepare report.
• Responsibe for plant start-up, shutdown and emergency handling.
• Real time monitoring of critical parameters through DCS and prompt response to any kind of abnormalities.
• Analyze the cause for plant trip by going through previous system parameters and technical manuals and after through study of SPPA T3000 reports, ASD and Trend graph.
• Checking records of all plant/auxiliaris operating data, including all alarms and protective devices being actuated and reports any deviation to the concern department.
• Checking and preparation of energy calculation, gas consumption, auxiliary consumption, efficiency calculation report.
• Organize, supervise, and coordinate the scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and operational activities of the power plant.
• Ensure proper and safe operation of Power Plant Machineries and auxiliaries.
• Responsible to handle any emergency situation including Blackout, fire incident etc.
• Receive and handover shift responsibilities properly and to keep/ maintain proper shift diary.
• Real time monitoring the status of plant during shift.
• Ensure / maintain Standard Operating Procedure, PTW Procedure and Safety Practices.
• Trend analysis to identify abnormalities and to take action accordingly.
• Take necessary measures to create public awareness.
• Motivate for efficient use of power and energy and it’s conservation.
• Encourage the use of power and energy efficient equipment.
• Encourage erergy efficient and conservation related research and development.
• Assist the in making and implementation of energy efficient building code.
